Hi All

When Sideshow made the Map Room dio I thought to myself how cool it would be to have a larger version of it especially with the buildings and when a mate from over at the Sideshow Freaks forums by the name of IndianaPaul decided that he was going to make all the buildings and cast them I knew I had to get hold of a set.

RECIPE
1: Indiana Jones - The clothing for is a mix of Sideshow and Hottoys, the boots are from Hasbro and the staff of Ra is from Hottoys. The body is a TTL V2 and the head is from Sideshow toys. The figure was painted and weathered using Vallejo and GW paints and pastels.

2: Base - The base I picked up from the local hardware store, the sand is a mixture of fine river sand, plaster of paris and PVA/Woodglue. The tape measure is just some A4 size paper cut to size and measuring lines added, the barrier around the last building is made from toothpicks and red cotton wool.

All the buildings as mentioned before are made and casted from IndianaPaul over at the Sideshow Freaks Forums and he did one hell of a job making these buildings the details are amazing to say least. The buildings were painted and weathered before putting them onto the base and as usual the base/buildings were painted using Vallejo paints and pastels.

Very impressive Ron, very impressive. The maquette shows quite a lot of detail, despite the uniform colour. Job well done, mate!!

Incom - Cheers buddy and the uniform colour turned out way better then I imagined it's amazing what pastels can do and paint weathering can do.

Hi All

I have a few of these hard plastic SF3D/Ma.k figures in my parts box so I decided to pull another one out and do a simple dio with it. This small dio depicts the SAFS FIREBALL running along a asteroid.

RECIPE

SAFS - The SAFS I picked up of the web and pulled it apart and repostioned the figure to the look I wanted. I also added wire from the back of the feet to the lower section using thin wire. The figure was painted and weathered using Reaper and Games Workshop paints and also pastels.

Base - The base I have had for years and belonged to a 120mm figure the small rocket is from a WW2 German kit, the base was painted and weathered using Reaper and Games Workshop paints and also pastels.

Hi All

In the harsh desert regions of Australia there is a small sector called NO MAN'S LAND this area is a short cut back to the Mercenaries base camps after hit and runs on Strahl National Defence Army. This area is not for the faint hearted as it stretches for over 100 kilometers and many have tried to pass thru this area and many have failed to get thru.

The area is staturated with high radiation that drains a suits power cells and interferes with comms and radar equipement. The pilot of this SAFS attempts to do the crossing and hopes he doesn't end up like his comrade that tried it before him.

RECIPE

SAFS - The two SAFS I picked up of the web and pulled it apart and repostioned the figure to the look I wanted. I also added wire from the back of the feet to the lower section using thin wire. The figures was painted and weathered using Reaper and Games Workshop paints and also pastels.

Base - The base is some left over marind foam cut to shape, the sand is a mixture of plaster of paris, fine river sand and ground up kitty litter. The rotten log I got from the garden and the tried plants are roots from and old palm tree once everythng was tried the base was painted and weathered using Reaper and Games Workshop paints and also pastels.
