Hi All

Started on this about 4 days ago once I finally was able to get the snakes, as you can see it's not the complete layout due to the size it would have been (wish it was thou).

I decided to make it with only half the crate and partial alter/steps my my goal was to show Indy and Sallah with the ark. I have to get some dowel to replace the crappy plastic poles and a little more weathering to do on the sand and alter/steps and then add Indy and Sallah.

Hi All

After doing the Cyborg Superman and The Phantom figures I started going thru the internet looking at other superheroes to do and saw Aquaman. I remember watching the old Aquaman cartoons when I was a kid but also liked him with the beard so I combined the old style outfit to the bearded character and what you see is the end result.

RECIPE

Body & head  - Is made from a WWE Build N' Brawlers figure, I super glued the joints and once dry I puttied the joints and then used watered some PVA glue and then got tissue paper and started to adhere to the body to make the outfit. The gloves are from a Star Wars figure and teh belt is made from left over leather and the A symbol was cut from some left over plasti card.

Once the tissue paper had dried I used GW greenstuff to make the beard and then I started to paint over the dried tissue paper, I used Vallejo and GW paints to paint and weather him.

Base - The base is an old Sideshow 12" Star Wars base I had in the cupboard.  I used clay to build up the ground work and before it dried I used real coral and shells I found at the beach and pushed them into the ground work along with some plastic plants I got from the local pet shop.

The Manta Ray was from a tube of sea creatures I picked up at the local toy shop, once everything was on the base I glued fine river sand over the top of the clay and let dry. Once dry I gave the sand a wash of brown and then dry brushed till I got the effect I liked.

Hi All

While looking for another 3-3/4" hero to do I got the inspiration to do Doc from Actorjez over at the Fwoosh Forum he does such awesome figures and the way he presents them is excellent.

RECIPE

Doc Savage - is a combo of the lower legs from a young Indy from TLC, boots from a SW figure, upper body from a Build N Brawl figure and head from a GI Joe figure. The belt is from the Hasbro Indy figure line with the holster and whip holder cut off, the shirt was made using an old hanky. Once put together the figure was painted and weathered using Vallejo and GW paints.

The Base - is just an old base from another dio that I use that I keep in the cupboard.

Hi All

I have always wanted to do a Dutch figure but couldn't decide on which version I wanted then I watched Predator again and after watching it decided on the muddy version as I've never seen it done in 3-3/4" scale.

RECIPE

Dutch - The upper body is a Build n Brwal figure the lower legs and head are from a GI-Joe figure. The spear is made from thin stick and the blade on the spear is from a GI-Joe figure and was attached with super glue and then tied off using string.

The bow was also made using thin stick and string was again used, the mud was done by mixing plaster of paris and PVA glue and then paint was added to get the colour. The plaster once mixed with both the paint and glue becomes tacky and gives the appearance of smeared on mud.

The Base - is just an old base from another dio that I use that I keep in the cupboard.

I like that Doc a lot, Ron, but Dutch reallly is stunning. Great original choice of making him in his mud cover, such a cool scene.

Are those build 'n brawl figures easy to work with as in being compatible with SW and Joe figures?

Hi All

Incom - Thanks buddy and the BnB are a good height for SW compatibility but the upper body is very bulky as in muscle size. I haven't seen anyone use them for anything else but superhero figures.
