Hi All,

Here are a few more WIP pics. The first two pics I have given the wreckage and the mech suit two coats of Tamiya's neutral grey and once dry the wreckage was given several washes of matt black.

I have painted the thin pipes and L-Girders Vallejo German gunmetal and have given the edges a wash of gunmetal as well so when the rest of the weathering starts the metal will have a structal damage look to it.  The interior was given a spary of Tamiya's Matt White and then a wash of matt black and then a wash of light grey was done to give it a more worn and damage feel to it.

Mech suit WIP pics next.

Hi All,

Here are WIP pics of the suit.

The suit as mentioned in the earllier post was given two coats Tamiya's neutral grey and once dry it was sprayed Tamiya Matt white,  I let it dry and then gave the white a wash of matt black.

Once that was dried I then used Vallejo's Green Grey for the comaflage effect and then that was given a wash of matt black to tone down the colour a little. I painted the pipes/body suit/left mechanical hand and antenna's matt black and the hatches and lines were highlighted by sharpening a lead pencil to a very sharp point and tracing the lines.

I then added the decals so when the final weathering is done any excess film that I missed when cutting and applying is visable the weathering will cover the film and blend it into the model.

More WIP pics soon.

Thanks Shawn and here are a few more WIP pics.

The wreckage is 90% complete, I have added a few extra pieces of debri using old computer cables and the wiring has been painted matt black.  I used a dremel to give the exterior hull some dents, scratches and blast effects and then these areas were painted black and then drybrushed guntmetal.

The numbers were done by  printing and cutting out the numbers and then lightly drybrushing the cut out areas to get the look you see on the hull.

Hi All,

The suit is 95% complete and has been attached to the wreckage and it has been given a drybrush over the black areas to highlight the pipes, antenna and left hand. I also gave it a drybrush of gunmetal and mithril silver, I painted the sensor red as well as the laser site on the left arm and they will get a highlight and and then a gloss coat once the rest of the wetahering is done and then the dull coate is added.

Hi All,

Here is some work on the spacesuit, I have superglued and covered the joints up using Aves Fixit Sculpt and have attached the backpack which is mafe up of spare SW parts and the air hose was a spare that came from the mech suit.  Before the helmet went on I painted the face and then re-applied the helmet and superglued it into place.

Hi All,

The spacesuit figure is complete, I gave him a coat of medium grey and then drybrushed a mix of 50/50 medium grey and flat white and kept drybrushing until I was happy with the look of the suit. The vest and helmet were painted white the a wash of matt black was given over the vest and once dry I lightly dry brushed it white again.

The boots, gloves and belt were painted matt black then they were drybrushed red leather, I then painted the buckle, button and clips with mithril silver. The backpack and air hose were painted matt black and then I added white sections to the backpack and then drybrushed it mithril silver.

I also added a few small decals to the backpack and helmet and then the helmet was given a light drybrush of mithril silver and gunmetal. Next up will be the completion pics which will be up soon.

Ron

Wow Ron. I had to use the back of the space suited figure for the front page as the detail and paint work on that is spectacular. I bet the commissioner of this is one happy person.
