Hi All,

Wow that turned out great. On the front page.

Thanks as always Shawn I really appreciate it and I used the old camera that I took the last lot of pics with and did my usual outdoor pics and they don't look to bad. I'm still deciding on what type of camera I want there are to many options with them now a days. :-\

Excellent work!

Thanks heaps Art.

Fantastic! The whole display is amazing. The seatbelts were a nice touch, completes the amazing interior work.

Cheers Buddy and I was very happy with the way the seat belts turned out.

Hi All,

Here are my usual outdoor pics, I have used an older camera for the shots so hopefully they will look good on your screens.

Recipe.

The Speeder - is from Bandai and built straight out of the box, I seat belts by using strips of cloth elastic and painting them and once dry I glued them inplace. The speeder was painted and weathered using Vallejo paints and chalk pastels.

Figures - are from Tamiya and their 1/48 U.S Navy Pilots, I cut off the Bandai pilots heads and drilled out one and added to the pilot on the right with the head cover on and with the other I just glued it straight onto the other figure. The ground crew was a mix match of different parts from the same kit and the figures were painted and weathered using Vallejo paints.

Base - was cut from high density foam as were the rocks. The ground plating is plasti card as are the blue and yellow crates, I used 1/72 parts to make the large fuel canister at the rear of the speeder and the other items are parts from 1/72, 1/48 kits.

I used a mix of sand and spakfilla with a little amount of PVA/Woodglue and mixed it all together and covered the base. Once dry the base and equipment were painted and weathered using Vallejo paints and pastels chalks.

Hi All,

New diorama and this time round I decided to do a crashed Tie Fighter.

This dio will depict a crash Tie Fighter that has been crashed for a while and the pilot has set up camp and waiting rescue.

The Tie was sprayed with matt white while still on the sprues and then it was built. Once built I then gave it 3 washes of Vallejo Medium Grey and then 2 washes of Vallejo Black.

Once the last wash had dried I then went around the seems with a very sharp led pencil and then went of that if a wash black, I then gave the whole model a very light drybrush of Vallejo Sky Grey.

I then used cutters and started cutting/twisting away sections of the solar panels to simulate crash damage.

I still have to do more weathering to the model and then do the base which I will show WIP as usual.
