Hi All,

This is the be my other entry for the Custom Star Wars Builders comp that is happening over on FB https://www.facebook.com/groups/1718385445101505/. This is still a WIP and I will show pics as I go.

The base figure is the Bandai Sandtrooper and I have used parts from and old Ma.k Snake Eye kit I built years ago but got damaged.

I also didn't clip the bicep and calf armour all the way in and left a small gap the make them look slightly bigger, I used plasti card to fill in the gaps.

Hi All,

Only did a little bit tonight and as you can see I have started on the suit power source. The back section was done by using plasti card, I still have more sanding and then adding the greeblies.

Your troopers look really good. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product on your second trooper. The Diver trooper is absolutely amazing and your concept for him is really great!

Hi All,

I'm 80% done on doing the trooper all I need to know is add greeblies to the chest and then paint him up.

The pack back/engine section has had pieces added to it using Bandai 1/12 and 1/72 parts and Ma.k 1/20 piece. The vent section was done using fly screen and plasti card and the camera on the helmet is also Bandai 1/12 parts.

The cords are from some old ear phones and the connectors are from the Bandai Sandtrooper harness section. The black edges are welding seams which where done by heating up a small screw driver and lightly pressing it into the plastic.

Hi All,

I have started painting and detailing the figure. I gave it a undercoat of Tamiya Dark Sand and then painted it with Vallejo Flat Brown and then used Vallejo Medium Grey to break up the Flat Brown.

once the paint dried I added Vallejo Sand Yellow and then added the decals which are some old Ma.k decals I had left over form some old kits.

I then gave the whole figure a very light wash of Vallejo Iraqui Sand and once dry a very light of dry brush of Iraqui Sand to tone down the colours.
