This is great. All around. I really, really, really like the smoke effects on this one. You have had one awesome year of customizing. Talk about finishing strong.

Off to share and Happy New Year right back at you!

Wow! That looks fantastic. Great groundwork, and the model is superb. I actually was watching a Thunderbirds marathon, today  on one of those retro sci-fi channels. Very cool!

Hi All,

Here are the usual pics and recipe.

Recipe

TB4 and Figure - TB4 is from the TB2 toy and was repainted using Vallejo paints and the figure is a 1/144 Gundam figure and was also painted using Vallejo paints.

Base - is two plastic bases from the Bnadai SW kits and I used balsa wood the sides, I then made the rocks using aluminium foil and then covered over using spakfilla.

The ruins were made using left over high density foam and I used a pencil to make the stones for the ruins floor. The small clumps of seaweed are from a company called miniNatur and the longer seaweed are from J's work and are laser printed paper and the sand was made using spakfilla and fine sand.

Very, very cool  diorama. The layout is great.  Thunderbirds are second in my books compared to Star Fleet,. Lol. Star Fleet/ X-Bombrer is sick.
I wanted to know the difference between high density foam and  Blue construction foam. I've seen high foam advertised,  but  is there a difference. Explain? I need to get more dio supplies, but I'd like to explore my opinions.

Cheers JD and I'm the same besides SW my other favs are Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Thunderbirds and Planet of the Apes.

And High Density foam is the same as blue foam, the gaming guys like Games work shop know it as blue foam but to get it here I have to order it as High Density foam.
