Hi All,
More work done to the TB2 & TB4 diorama.
I have completed weathering the TB's and just need to give them a spray of matt varnish to finish them off.
The dioram is a picture frame I picked up from the local shop for $10, I removed the glass and the piece of thin wood from the back and then replaced the thin piece of wood and glued it in place.
To make the base of the diorama more sturdy I added high density foam underneath and secured it in place with superglue. I then used high density foam to start making the land masses and glued the larger section in place and once dry started ripping it apart to give it more of a rock face look.
I then used smaller pieces of foam to make the other section and the pieces I had ripped off the larger section I used some pieces and glued them to the smaller section and once dry I will rip them apart to get a more natural look.
The glass will be my base for the ocean and will be glued to the foam where it is positioned in the pictures and then a layer of foam will be glued on top. The rods in the pics for TB2 & TB4 are just temporary so I can get a feel of how the diorama is looking and thin clear plastic rods will be used.
