Recipe.
Vault Dweller - the main body and clothing are the Alex (Clock Work Orange) figure from Mezco and the head is from CoomodeIs. For the outfit I just gave it several washes of Vallejo's Viking Blue until I liked the colour of the outfit. The yellow lines and numbers where hand painted using Vallejo's Flat Yellow and the gauntlet is done was done using pleather. The Pipboy on his left arm was made using plastic card and then painted using Vallejo Paints.
The leather armour is made using pleather and plastic card and the combat armour was made using Bandai Stormtrooper and Deathtrooper parts and plastic card. The leather section are old pieces of pleather and the pouches and water bottles are from older figures that I got from the parts.
Base - is high density foam and the billboard picture I found on the net resized it and glued it down to the foam board and the billboard itself is made using balsa wood and the damage was done by just ripping off pieces randomly and with Games Workshop's AGRAX Earthshade I brushed over the balsa wood and then used some watered down AGRAX Earthshade washed over the picture. While the wash was still damp on the picture I used a model knife and made little tears over it to give some damage and then I used pastel chalks with a little water and turned it into a paste and applied it to the picture to give it a very old look to it.
The shanty/shack was made using balsa wood corrugated cardboard and I used Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks to paint and weather the corrugated cardboard. The scrap metal on the side is pieces of plastic tube, plastic fly swatter and empty asthma bottles.
The crates and shelf were made using balsa wood, the mattress was made using a dried baby wipe which was folded then the edges glued together and then I stuffed some cloth into it and sealed it up and then gave it a few washes of Vallejo's Beige Brown.
The magazines, poster, cartons etc were found on the net and then resized and printed out. The purified water was done using plastic card then I resized a label and printed/cut/glued them on. The Nuka Cola bottles were done using clear plastic rod and then painted the inside of the rod and did the same thing as the purified water labels. The Nuka Cola caps were done by cutting thin pieces of plastic rod and painting them and the satchel is just a small piece of dried baby wipe.
The bushes are from Woodland Scenics and is their dead foliage set and the small tufts of grass are from my local gaming store and the ground work was done using a mix of sand, kitty litter and spakfilla and then applied and once dry I used several washes of watered down pastel chalk to get the look I wanted.
