Wow... haven't updated in over a year...
This custom was basically inspired by a member of the Spawn boards asking for some artwork for a concept to a 1:6 custom he wanted to make. I don't draw much anymore, so I thought I'd take stab at it as a custom figure using the description CC gave... I don't have a name for him or anything like that, but I had a fun time in the oh, 20 or so hours it took to make him...
Here's what was given and what I went with for the custom:
WANDERER
I am basically looking for a semi-scruffy "wanderer" after a major World War. Beard and mustache don't worry too much about the hair. Not overweight or anything. Was thinking of making him a photo journalist that is totally shell shocked and alone (post apocalyptic)
I would like him to have an army coat, cargo pants, and hiking boots with the top toe section missing on one foot.
I would like him to have a large military style backpack with a bed roll on top and an acoustic guitar strapped to the front of it. Various doo-dads can be hung from the pack(survival items, knife, old camping canteen, etc) Also a 35mm camera with lens, and perhaps a "press" badge
I would also like a clear water bottle with a goldfish in it hanging from either his belt or bottom of the backpack.
As far as head gear, I was thinking a gas mask, but that's kind of obvious. Perhaps some ski goggles?? Also perhaps either a fisherman's toque or knit beanie.
I would like him to also have a WW2 style rifle beat up and wrapped in various spots with cloth.

He looks a little big on the bike, but I think it's just all the gear, when I first made him, he fit pretty well on it without anything added.
Custom bike made from a bright yellow Miasto diecast Yamaha??? I added the extra tires on the end thinking he probably scavenged them along the way for spares and added a custom cloth seat cover, I'm sure the original would get worn pretty well after awhile, thought it was fitting to give it that look. Weathered and painted the rest to give it a lil age.
For the custom, I used a Rise of Cobra Desert Duke figure. I cut off the arms at the bicep and made a custom peg for the WWE build and Brawl arms, then added some random gloved hands.
The head was an older GI Joe Dreadnok head, he had a baseball cap on,so I ripped it off and then re-sculpted the head and hair. I thought I had a good picture of the head, but I guess not. After my batteries charge, I'll take some better ones in the morning.
As for the accessories, I tried to stick to what CC mentioned. I had a camera and I had a gun that looked similar to what he wanted, so I painted it to match, it's not the exact rifle, but I think it looks pretty cool. I mentioned above about the Goldfish in the bottle... I hand sculpted the guitar in the bag, I didn't think I'd be able to make one without it, and thought about the conditions he'd be in, so I just sculpted a bag and went with that.
For the backpack, took some GI Joe missile holding backpack, gutted it and added an extra part, then filled it with random stuff I found in the diorama drawer, extra bike parts, gas can, love fist(lil' spawnie inside joke...
).. things I thought one might need on a lone excursion out in the post apocalyptic world... I also added an extra gun and binoculars and a sleeping bag in the area the rocket launcher was supposed to go, just in case he got cold.
I think that's about it.. Like I said,it was fun to make and try to get it close to what he described, I hope everyone likes it. Thanks again...
