holy explative that is awesome! I'd love to do somethign like this.... but I'd get it to the point he has and probably quit.
It'd be interesting to see what they finish it out to. I wonder how much detail they'll try and put into it... Or how they'll make it accessible... removable top? or no top at all?
those landing gear are incredibly detailed!

Holy Mother of ......, the first thing I thought was how are we gonna get this guy over here. If any of you wants to get a hold of that dude and invite him over I know we would sure appreciate that work. Then, I wondered how I could get him to build a walker.
All joking aside, this is awesome and it amazes me how he is getting every facet correct, down to the couch and the landing support for the crew gangplank. Just sweet.

yes it looks amazing I just hope he doesn't make it so large that it cant support its own weight. :\ Lots of cool detail though can't wait to see him finish it.

This guy is very patient. That much is evident. I like how he made the mock-up first and then went for the real deal.
His last post is in Dec so, we can only assume that he is still working on it. Tamer, I'll bet that you could talk this guy into making a correctly scaled AT-AT walker.

i WOUL LOVE to see a correctly scaled walker... how tall do you think that thing would have to be?!
He's building it out of foamcore so it should actually be fairly light I'd think...
It'd probably not be that dificult... you could use a smaller model, figure out your scale of the finished model... then upscale every tiny measurement on the smaller model.
thats how I'd do the at-at anyway, use an action fleet model to get all the measurements and then upscale it to the size I want it. of course the insides would have to be built from scratch... actually that all sounds like alot of fun. I just don't have the materials, patience, or resources to pull somethign like this off I don't think...

Ok, this pisses me off, I have had a big ole post just lost in daggone space. WTH! Ok, I will try again, I had a big ole reply to best scale atat and agree with Clint in that the best scale imo is:
1. MR AT-AT (hands down no comparison)
2. Revell At-At
3. Miniatures At-At ( I would almost tie it with the Revell one though, it is very close)

by "best scale" do you mean as far as screen accurate apearance? or "best scale" in reference to a certain scale? like 1:72?
just wondering...

I don't care for the revel one, its kind of bland detail wise.
I love the MR one, but for 3 grand, I'd have better things to buy, lol, so I have no opinion over them.
For me, the miniatures one is the best, as far as looking like an atat.
