New Target DPCI Numbers Released!
« on: January 06, 2010, 06:00:05 PM »
I just read an article over at JTA which talks about a new set of Target DPCI numbers for 2010 and speculates about some of their meanings as far as new products go.
Here are the DPCI numbers and what products they correspond to.

BASIC FIGURES
087-06-1351 - 3.75 VINTAGE - $7.99
087-06-1335 - Saga Legends Basic - $7.99
087-06-1339 - CW Basic - $7.99
087-06-1343 - SW Transformers - $16.99
087-06-1401 - Galactic Heroes - $6.99
087-06-1527 - MEGABATTLER 10in FIG - $19.99

MULTIPACKS & VEHICLES
087-06-1345 - 3.75 Battle Pack - $24.99
087-06-1347 - CW Starfighter - $24.99
087-06-1402 - DLX Fig and vehicle - $16.99
087-06-1497 - HAILFIRE RC vehicle - $59.99
087-06-1503 - SUPER DLX VEHICLE - $99.99

ROLEPLAY
087-06-1478 - Elec Lightsaber - $19.99
087-06-1491 - Basic Lightsaber - $9.99
087-06-1605 - Electronic Blaster - $19.99
087-06-1606 - MANDALORIAN HELMET - $34.99
087-06-1622 - GREIVOUS LIGHTSABER - $34.99

About the vintage line of figures. Is the legacy line being replaced by this and will the packaging look more vintage?

How big will this Hailfire RC vehicle be?

What is the Super Deluxe Vehicle going to be and doesn't this sound cheap for a large scaled AT-AT "yes, Tamer, a similar speculation was made over at JTA and you may add it to your ATAT rumor thread"

About the Mando helmet, when can we see it and how screen-accurate will it look?

Hmmm....one does wonder if the Legacy Line is slowly being phased out alltogether. I hope not. I do like the idea of getting more vintage back though. I loved those lines. As for the super dlx vehicle, one hundred smackers does sound a little light for a full size bat-at. If it was the bigger at-at for that price, that would be awesome.

$100 does seem cheap for a re-tooled AT-AT. The TCW line is going to need its own big vehicle offering too, so hopefully this will debut in the same price point.

I find it odd that they didn't have any vehicles listed between the starfighter assortment and super deluxe assortment. What does this mean for new Gunships, Y-Wings, ARCs, etc that fall in between those price points?

I know one thing Hasbro would be totally stupid not to keep releasing repaints of the Republic Gunship. Those things sell like hotcakes or walkers at  a Tamer Convention!

Well I am a little perplexed are Wal-mart not doing the Vintage Figures as well, as I seem to have read that Target's getting everything, I hope not because we don't have a Target in our neck of the woods and it means I would have to drive 1hr away to be disappointed by not finding the figures because some scalper had beat me to them, lol.

Any news on what Wal-mart is getting.
