Awesome customs!!! What parts and paint did you use to make for Ima-Gun-Di. Any help is appreciated.

Hey Rundown!  Nice assassin droid...are you going to paint the little designs on master Dai's tunic?  I saw another one that this guy did on you tube recently and he had the little designs on him and it just made the figure.  He is awesome I am thinking of doing one myself!

First off Thanks for all the great comments.  LC, are you talking about the little designs all over his brown tunic?   Yes I did see them.   On these first two, I didn't add those.  I considered but didn't end up doing it.
Regarding the parts list:

Head, hands and rifle from the TRU exclusive Nitko guard.
Body is the 2010 version of the CW Kit Fisto.

The hardest part was taking the 'pegs' from Fistos hands and transplanting them to the Nitko hands.  If I do it over again, I will just wittle down the pegs on the Nitko's hands so they fit into the holes on kits arms.
When I transplant a ball jointed head, I drill out a small hole in the center of both the peg and the neck.  I then glue a wire or thin plastic piece into the hole of the neck..  Then when I glue this to the body, I have the extra holding power of that peg-in-the-hole.   Have never seen this technique fail.  I know some people out there are leary of transplanted necks / heads, so thats why I described this.

Hope this helps on the construction of IMA.    oh and by the way to add the extra chin horns which are present on IMA but not on the Nitko guard, I use the paintable fabric paint.   This can be shaped easily when it is first applied.  After it is dry, I add a tiny amount of crazy glue to protect and hold it.   Then I paint all the horns to match in color.
RunDown.

Regarding the paint, there wasnt much used, but all my paints are either Citadel, Model Masters, or Tamiya.  a reddish brown was used on the head and hands, a dark brown for the tunic under his tunic lol, and a little black on the boots and white on the horns.....
