Commanderfiq's Custom
« on: January 31, 2010, 10:38:24 PM »
Hey guys. I'm not really done with my custom vehicle, but it's in the works. I'm doing a custom At-te but not really customizing it, just weathering it. The at-te I bought had the 6 laser missles missing so the end product will look handicapped. Here some photos to give an idea of how it might turn out, so keep your finger's crossed! It might not be good, but constructive comments are very much appreciated.
I'll keep posting photos to sort of update.

That weathering job does look nice. I have missile replacements for  the chin missiles on the republic gunship that will work for the atte ones.
Can't wait to see this  one finished.

Hey! Thanks guys.
Oh, they are the same? Hmmm, how do I get em from you? Like details.
Thanks man! The feeling really sucks that the At-te is incomplete..

Very nice!! You using dry brushing or wet and wipe hangarbay method? Was considering doing this to one of my AT-TE's but i only have 1 original one left :( so no more custom AT-TE's. You've got a tough job ahead of you, but looks fantastic so far!!

Thanks you all!
I don't really know what method it is, but I mixed the acrylic with water so I get this really cool wearing out effect and I try to have the more sandy image to the muddy one. Like the At-tes on Geonosis.
Yeah, The whole process weathering the At-te is really tedious, but I hope the end result will be worth it.

it's interesting because I wouldn't have thought of watering down or thinning out the paint for weathering.

BTW, it looks amazing!

Looking great man! Watered down paint is how I weather most everything, then a light dry brush. Spud how do you weather stuff if you never watered down the paint?
