Well it seems our friends at jeditemplearchives have gotten the inside scoop on which two vehicles will get the vintage pakcaging. I just assumed it was the cloud car and snowspeeder. It is a tie fighter and snowspeeder. I guess one out of two ain't bad!

I might have to wait on this until this box comes out.

Much like with the at-at, this brings me back to when I was a kid and that Christmas again.
Damn I miss those times.

RS got a great image of the box art for both of these.

Looks like late October only in Target.

Well it takes me a good hour and a half one way to find either a toysrus or a target so it is hit or miss for me. Thank the maker for the network here or I never would have some target or toysrus stuff.

I get a kick out of any time someone works that phrase into a post--never ceases to amuse me.

Anyway, come on October--or an earlier release.

Well I was kinda going larger than Hasbro, but just wanting to show my appreciation to the folks who have helped me. My closest Target is about two hours driving one way..

I hear you on October, the Walker was earlier lets hope this will be too.

90% of Target/Toys-R-Us exclusives suck because they never have them in stock....you have to catch them right on time when they 1st get put on the shelves, and there is about 10 targets and 3 TRU in Austin where I live.

I know I've missed out on a few exclusives myself.  Not getting the last B.A.D, expanded universe wave that was supposed to be at Toys R' Us, still torques me off a bit.  However, I have to say, living in a much smaller city than Austin seems to help quite a bit.  Even if the store-to-people ratio ends up about the same, it still seems like there's less competition for the stuff.

Yeah, I never seen any figures from that EU wave and those are  the ones I wanted more than anything in the last few years.

I saw both the Tie Fighter and Snowspeeder in the vintage packaging today.  Of course they looked fabulous.  If I were newer to collecting, I would have grabbed them without a second thought; but the idea of all the boxes I currently have in storage stopped me this time around.

Is there going to be a new line of vintage vehicles for 2011, like vintage Y-wing or B-wing like they did with  snowspeeder and tie?

Thats a daggone good question. I was seriously disappointed that Toy Fair didn't show us any of what the vintage vehicle offerings would be. I thought we might see the next big one and for some of the regular size ones, but the only vehicle offerings were from TCW line.
