Awesome Jay! Did you pull the head off of R4-P17 then put an R5 head on it?

How did you get those pieces to stay together?

Is the R5 dome able to turn still?

That is an amazing custom!!!

I wish Hasbro would make more astromechs, R5's and the conical R4...

Great work!

Yes the head is attached  and does rotate  ,although it was tricky  I had to build a bridging piece from the stump in the droid body to the stump inside the BAD droid head ,its not as tight as I would like but heyho .

Simply incredible!!!

I meant to ask this as well, but in all my excitement I forgot.  How did you remove the TCW astromech dome?

And also, did you have to alter the diameter of the BAD part?  Or did both parts match up size wise?

Agaain, just a great job.  Love the paint apps. and deco!!!

i removed it thru the oldest means necessary  ...brute force ..lol

and i trimmed the lower ring on the BAD head and sanded it down slightly  so that it didnt interfere with the droids shoulders

That's a splendid paintjob, Wraithnine! How many astromechs have you painted, actually? Must be dozens!
