We're going to Celebration V in STYLE!

I know it's Friday, but I didn't get a chance to snap any photos until now of MY NEW CAR!!!!!!  It was a sad time, to retire Eleanor (my Hyundai Elantra) after 8 years, 132500 miles and VERY little maintenance costs, but the transmission was slipping constantly, and the repairs would cost more than the car was worth.  So, it was time to put her to pasture and get a new ride.  Introducing, Marcy, my 2008 Chevy Malibu!  Just slightly used, only 1 owner (private, not rental), 9339 original miles, and in pristine condition, I was able to get her for a little less than I was anticipating, with better interest rates than I was anticipating.  I'm very happy, and we'll be riding Marcy all the way to Orlando for Star Wars Celebration V in August!  I'll be getting her windows tinted next week sometime.

Congrats on the Malibu, Pat! I hear that they are dependable rides with very cool air conditioning.
    I still consider going with you guys sometimes but think I should save my money.

The AC does work very well, I'll give it that.  As for CV, I guess it depends on how much you want to part with.  Gas and hotel, shared between at least 3 of us, will run you about $175, plus meals and souveniers.  I can pick you up in MO and slide down and grab Shawn in TN, and we can share the driving duties.  Hell, you can drive down to Shawn's family in TN and I can pick you both up there.  Then again, if you can't swing it, or have to skimp, I wouldn't worry about it at all.  Just remember, the offer is always there.

Thanks, Dan.  I'm really loving this.  It's supposed to storm all weekend, yet I want to wash it AGAIN tomorrow and detail it AGAIN.  I also want to keep on driving just to drive, which I haven't had the desire to do in years.  I'm still figuring out the gas mileage yet, but it's not looking too shabby so far.  My old car got 360-400 miles per tank at a 14.5 gallon tank.  I believe Marcy has a 14.5 gallon tank as well, so we'll see how it compares.

Well, if you love a car enough, believe me, wash it as much as you want!  (As long as your water rates aren't that high!)
