Looking good Clint! I can't wait to see the end result.

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

I started out by drilling in three lengths of craftwire through the neck peg to penetrate into the body to make that connection more ridged. I then painted all of the rc's undercovering of polly s dark earth. I will add a black wash to the recesses around his neck and his fingers later. Next, I will probably tackle the flesh tones in the exposed part of his face and his eyes and eye brows. I ended up cutting the tubes off of his scorch pack also. I may add some ammo pouches to either side of the pack.

Very Cool!!!!

I can't wait to see the face painted, cause thats the part that gives me the most fits!!!

It takes me awhile to get the skin to look good and to paint the fine points like eyes...etc!!

thanks for the step by step pic's!!!

thanks
Rich

Thanks guys! Ribbit, where the heck have you been buddy?
I want to start painting on this dude's face tomorrow if time allows. I have some resin work to do and a couple of video toy reviews to shoot and upload.

Thank you, ron.

Got a little paint on this figure last night and this morning and took a few dark pics to show my progress. I will find a lighter spot to shoot when I get a little further along.

I started with a polly s old concrete color and painted up half the armor and started painting the other half with a polly s medium green. I am wanting to do a slight variation of the markings that scorch has on his armor and like how these colors go together with his undercovering brown that I applied earlier. On the one side, I have started adding a thickened wash to the cracks in his armor, in between his fingers, and where the armor meets his undercovering. I have also detailed that upper chest area around the neck, all using a polly s flat black. I will touch up each of these cracks on either side of the black detail lines using the corresponding color like I have done in the past. It's a time consuming venture as always but I enjoy the results when I am done. I went ahead and brought the area around the neck as close to the finished product as possible so that I could go ahead and throw the head on so I didnt have to take it off again and so it would be mounted to make the painting of his face easier.

I threw a little paint onto his cut-down backpack and have brought it a little further since these pics. My plan now is to mount two leg ammo accessories, one on either side of the backpack.  The helmet still needs some paint work but I was wondering what i should use for his visor color. Light blue or something else?
