To make the shoulder antenna, I went to kit bash again and used two stabilizer fins from a 1/72nd f-16 kit for the mount"I glued em together to make the right thickness and cut to the desired shape"
The antenna came from a 1/48th f4 Phantom kit and with a pin vise and some wire, the two were joined.

I will give this new part a mold bath tonight and should be able to produce multiples by tomorrow.

Daggone Clint that shoulder antennae looks so much better than the TCW version. Off to share. Man, great work bud.

Very Cool.  What kind of glue do you use, by the way?

Thanks guys!
Only the cheapest superglue I can find.
The black tube four packs in walmarts hardware section. I use glue tip extenders with these tubes that I find in hobby lobby in the model kit section, across the isle by the paint and epoxy. With all the superglue I use goes a lot of glue accelerator which can be found in the same place but I found a much larger bottle available at hobby haven stores called Insta-set. It comes in a small sprayer as well. It's in a brown bottle.
Ever since I started using the stuff I learned that it is essential to be able to control the glue set time. Heck, I sculpt with glue sometimes with the aid of it

I still don't know how you do those straight lines. I will use this for the next front page update for the contest.

You guys are making me blush.
Tamer, at this scale, I was able to use a ruler on his chest and cod piece to figure those stripes out. I made a templet/mask for the markings on the legs out of paper with the intention of just inverting the mask to do the opposing side. Good idea but I ended up doing one side twice anyways.
Still got some detail paint and a bit of touch up paint to do.
Man, big H sure blew the paint apps around the joints on this one. I can't wrap my head around some of the plastic color choices under the factory paint on this figure.
A little paint rub and they will look like hell.

I need to take some sunny outside shots of Cody and post em here.

Shawn, I'm starting something new. It's another mod job. Some of the mods I'll kitbash together. I've assembled some components here for the first two modifications needed that I believe will work.
What is it gonna be?  "Hint, it's a shape within the shape of the missile that I need. Think like a wood carver, seeing finished shapes within tree branches that he hasn't whittled on yet"

Shawn, you are supposed to guess.
Here is a couple more shots of that missile as I refine the shape I had mentioned. The fabrication of this particular shape has daunted me from starting this project thus far. Pack rat that I am, I knew this missile is what I needed even though I had stashed em as fodder for more than 20 years.
The next post will reveal, Shawn, what is it?

I had thought that one of the round clips from this hood pin set might work for the metal discs that mount where the tie air hoses used to connect. I tried a test fit for the hole and the diameter looks pretty close but the hole configuration is wrong. 4 holes instead of 6
I may have to find something else

I had hoped this is what you were hinting about, but am sure glad I didn't press you! Needless to say I like what you are showing up so far. Boy your missle part than connects to the hoses by the eye plates is just fantastic. I can't see Hasbro doing anything even remotely that accurate. I can see your point about the four holes versus six. Maybe drill two more holes or maybe it will be a moot point when the tusk is added? The only other fix I thought of was me mailing you a tusk, get some hydroshink and just shrink that puppy till it gets close to fitting that hole. That is probably overkill and would be costly just to get it accurate though.

Needless to say I definitely will want one of these, hopefully with a body attached if you will take any orders. They definitely don't call you the Clonehead for nothing. I hate the fact that spring is here and the weather is getting nicer so real work will make your modding take a back seat. Daggone the real world anyway.

Off to share.
