Thank you all for your approval. Lets continue on then.

Since I was mixing the two darker shades, uniformity in shading mixture is not perfect and the base color is lighter on the upper part of the body making the darker shades look even darker but I plan on dry-brushing a bit of light grey color over the entire figure to kind of soften the contrast a bit and bring out the raised areas of the armor. OK, I put camo on the rest of the body and will get to the helmet later. I think it will look good when other details like the kama, pistol holsters, belts, and other greeblies detract attention from the paint scheme.

Yep, it looks a bit busy from those shots. I am hoping that the accessories will balance it out a bit.

One more shot of just the camo and then back to the kama.
shot two is the kama posed next to one of the arc trooper figures showing the length of that one prior to trimming the length of this one. I want to make this one a bit longer than that so in shots three and four, you can see the length that I decided on and with the slit cut up the back while being posed on our arc arf figure.

I went ahead and put a coat of the same floquil dark grey color on the inside of the kama that I used for his ammo pouch on his pauldron. I will have to mix a flatter version of this color for the second coat and then dry-brush possibly a lighter slightly brownish grey color on the wrinkles on the inner tissue. "thats usually the fun part"  I will eventually paint and weather the outside of the kama the same way and will probably then mount it to the figure prior to applying whatever trim to the kama I decide to use.

In that last shot, i threw his pauldron on to see how it looked with the camo and I like it. Once I put the trim on the kama and paint it the same light grey color that was the base color for the figure, it will balance things out nicely.

Man, this is fun!

Jay, when you mount the snowtrooper backpack to your rc figures, do you cut away part of the clones jutting out back part to make it fit closer or do you let em jut out?

I stopped by earlier and saw the amazing camo apps on this guy, but now the whole fig looks even more amazing, especially with that soft goods kama.  I'm not usually a huge fan of soft goods, but this one looks killer! EL

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!
