My first custom ideas

Well i just joined and i was working on my first custom and wondering what i should use and who i should make. If you have any ideas please post them here. :-\

i tried that with my origonal ep III clone and i used acryilic paint , sisnt work too well so im buying some new paints and hopfully it will be better i might post a pic of my painted clone but i dont know how to

Welcome to the Shipyards!  Now as for paints: Don't bother skimping on cheap acrylics.  Go to a hobby store and look for Model Masters or Tamiya.  Those are some of the nicer ones I've used.  Remember, small, thin strokes until you get the desired shade and consistency you're looking for.

Like Pat had suggested, Model Master works pretty well for me as does Testors and Polly s acrylic paints.

Get some work done and take some pics and we can help you figure out how to post them.

welcome to the yards!   i tend to work with GW paints   but it is a cases of   to each his own  .... its been suggested try customising a clone trooper to start with,i would concur with that ,as with most things it will be a case of trial and error .

well i live up in auburn newyork and was wondering whereabouts i could find a hobbystore as all i have is an ac moores

well id say ,, do you have a old toy witch isnt worth anything and you dont like , try that or try cheap joe knock offs
and as for paint i normally use model plane paints

miecheals has some testors acrylics over there u should buy some over there

internet .. is my solution , yard sales , trades with isy members , ebay , and paints i think i buy the model planes from i think airfix ? something like that .

their yellow ochre matchs 212th battalion perfectionly good
their pthalo blue matches 501st nicely and well i dont others but they have a arrangement of coulers wich are good for anything

hey not to be pushy or "beggy" but mabey could you send me a green paint? i havent been having luck finding any paints

alright mate i got phthalo green wich you have to go deep in the bottle/thing and it has no lid well the lid broke ... now where do you live ... near chinatown ?
