Splurged a little and picked up a nice brown snake Yoda variant with the alternate skin tone. Pricey but a must to cross off the List. Now I just need one with the Green Snake.

My last "replacement fig" is now off The List. I picked up a nice farmboy Luke tonight, as my original was in sad shape and missing the lightsaber tip.

I can now turn my attention to the last 10 POTF figs I need as well as the  random variants, which are dwindling down to the last few really expensive ones. (And which may never get scratched off)

As an early birthday present, I also overspent for a minty Sand Skimmer over the weekend. Too much $, but man that is a nice one to have!

I need some mini-rigs.  I've been checking around online for them and there's a few deals, honestly, the shipping costs are killing a lot of my considerations.   When it costs as much to mail the vehicle as the price of the auction then there's a problem.

I got my snap cape Luke w/Blue Lightsaber in the mail tonight and am very pleased with this one. It's in great condition and isn't one of those frustrating variants I have to wrap my head around trying to grasp. (The purple apron thing has still got be totally bewildered)

My grey hair Obi-Wan should be showing up any day too...

purple apron, I take it you are referning to the Ugnaught, if so, that one isn't to hard to come across.  I have one stashed away someplace.

I stumbled upon a snap cape Jedi Luke myself in the past. Not too expensive and a cool addition to my collection. I just bought dozens of modern ANH, ESB and ROTJ stands, by the way. I'm in the process of setting up my vintage figures alongside their "best" modern counterpart.

Yeah, I have two now myself.  :(

I bought the Blue Apron Variant on eBay and what I got in the mail was clearly purple, despite the seller's claims otherwise. Now I have to return it and eat the shipping and hope the next one I buy is actually blue.

Which one was more common?  Blue or purple?

They are roughly equal in numbers, though the reports are that depending on location it was harder to find one or the other, but that was over 25 years ago, so now they should be able to be had easily enough in either version.

That's interesting.  I'd never have guessed the purple was produced in anything approaching equivalent numbers.  Growing up, all I ever saw (or had) was the blue apron version.

I scored a very nice vintage Klaatu with ALL tan limbs last night. Pretty psyched about that one...usually all I see are the mix and matched grey/tan variety.

Sending my Ugnaught back today...hoping for better luck next time.

Got my refund for the faux-Blue Apron Ugnaught and promptly turned around and bought Brown Hair Bespin Luke variant.

This leaves me with only about 5 more "affordable" variants I need before we get down to the Big Boys.  (DT's, Vinyl Cape Jawa, etc)

Think I will knock out those last 5 and get back to focusing on the last 10 POTF figs I need. Pricey bastages!

Great progress on that collection,   you can start of the huge variety of variations if you ever get bored, there is a list someplace that lists most of them, I wouldn't say endless but there are hundreds of oddities to chase.

On the POTF topic, yep, many are down right expensive, and to think at the time many of these were clogging pegs in the day and were clearanced at 99 cents.
