Inspired by a gorgeous custom action figure of Luke Sprywalker - and for I just love those post-apo scenery - I put my own twist on this subject and painted it in a very expressive way because I think this style just fits perfect, a mix between realism and comic-book-style. Needless to say that is was great fun to do :)

Stefan, I am honored. The background sets the mood perfectly! Then the eyes and the rebreater tubes really attract your attention. The way you have heighlighted those 2 areas relly grabs me. I love everything else but the combinations of color and the "face" of the subject really spell out doom and gloom. So well done my friend! and now I have a new desk top image! Thanks so much for sharing.

WOW! the detailing in the image and the brushwork are wonderful! again, your use of colour has produced a really striking image.

I particularly like the background work and the brushwork on the boots, very clever...very clever indeed!

Hello Stefan, im slowlly working my way through the forum pages seeing members great works displayed, but i must say that your works stand out from the rest, your talent is extraordinary and a pleasure to view. I especially like your brush painted versions. Very impressive work.

thanks a lot for all your compliments, my friends!! Reading your kind words is a very motivating start into the day :) Very motivating to start a new painting ;-)
I am glad you all agree with my color choice on this one and that you can "feel" the desolate enviroment.

Shawn, thank you very much for another fp feature!

Oscar, its great to hear that you enjoy my works that much and especially like the "analog" ones, painted with "real" brushes. This still is my top favorit painting technique and I am trying hard to melt my fine art style with my love to scifi and fantasy themes.

So lets get back to something Star Wars ;-)

Now that its published I am allowed to show my version of the young Captain Tarkin to you! I think its one of my best digital works to date and I put a lot of efford into it. I even explored the possibillities of using "digital noise" as skin texture... and was very pleased with the results. The chief editor of the German SW fan club liked the image so much that he instantly turned it into the cover of the new club magazine and needless to say that I am very proud :)
But enough talking, just enjoy the pic - at least I hope you do :D

Very cool!!! Very Spooky!!! I mean that in a good way!!!

And that Tarkin Cover is AMAZING!!!!! The detail, the shadows are perfect!!!!

I don't know what else to say, I can't put in words how amizing I think you work is!!!

Just awesome. This Tarkin to me seems like a nice merger of the live and animated versions of him. I really love the drawing of LE figure. You have brought him to life in a new way. Makes me want to do a few drawings of figures this way.
