Hey guys,

this one actually started life as a simple traditional "gray day" winter landscape painting expressionism style, but I was not satisfied with it. Just moments before I overpainted it I suddenly had this idea... seeing those soldiers marching - as some type of mix of post-apo and WW2. I took a photograph of my painting, transfered it into Photoshop and did this quick sketch.
Not sure about the soldiers and their final outfit, but that will be the fun part when doing the final artwork. Suggestions welcome :)

Looking awesome already Stefan! What I would love to see is something like a World War Robot in there behind them. If you have not heard of them just google it and also my friend Ratfink has made some in 3 3/4 scale. You can find him on facebook or just google him. Good luck!

Yeah, a WW2 robot is something I also want to do, if not in this one that in a follow up image! Thanks for metioning Ratfink, I am already befriended with him on fb and I love his work, but I didn't talked to him about using his figures for my works yet.

An intense image Art! The red eyes really draw you into the image making it very powerful. I also love your abstract style.

Since I first saw his work on facebook I am a huge fan of Ratfink Customs, especially love his steampunk and Old War Robots. So while I was in relaxing mood I put my hands on one of his figures and painted my version of her. Thanks to Ratfink for letting me do so :)

thanks a lot, botwt!  yeah, those tiny monitors or lights were a spontaneous idea while painting those wrist units. You know I am a big fan of such little operarting suit lights here and there :D
