BTW I printed it as poster myself for I want to display it at the SciFi-Days in Grünstadt, Gemany at my table. For its just a digital image I neve saw it that big and if I am allowed to say that: it looks most impressive, I was positivly surprised.

Another thing that goes on in my mind since I read your words "custom creation" on the fp regarding the Darth Tailon image... why not starting to do my own customs, I mean digital ones. I did similar things a long time ago and maybe its time to think about that part of creativity again...

you are right, buddy, I try to see it that way, besides I really learned a lot during the visualization and designing process of that figure. Its like Tamer said a "custom creation" and I am thinking about to starting digital customization again...

what a fantastic start into the day seeing my "vintage" stuff on the fp!! thank you so very much!
its amazing that those old ones still seem to have a great attraction, and you choose one of my personal faves for the fp, thats just great :)

infact I am thinking of doing some remakes of certain paintings, doing things a little different, incorporting new ideas... like the old masters have painted one theme in various alternate views... but thats just an idea so far.

Hey Spy, thanks a lot for your very special compliment :)
of course that would be an ultimate push, seeing some of those characters as customs, a new interpretation...  and then turning them again into a piece of artwork!!  In fact a friend of mine once started such a project, but never finished anything...

I know thats just ideas, but I will post another - if not THE - favorite work of those days, if I only would remember in which folder I stored the painting away... silly brain.

thanks a lot, my friend!! yeah, I am looking forward to revitalize my personal themes and space art, in fact I got that inspiration out of all the customs here, so I like to think about doing digital customs ;)
and I very much like describing this paintings as "Classics", you named it!!  :)

Love the "old school" images;  very evocative.  Very Fantasy/Sci-fi novel/poster cover stuff from when I was a teenager.  I would stare at images like this for hours, and get lost in the fantasy and imagine being there!  Love it.

WOW! those images are stunning, they remind me of the Terran Trade Authority books that I used to love looking at when I was a kid! real classic scifi imagry.

Hello Jules, you already made my day with your wonderful - and flattering - compliments :) thank you so much, my friend.
I am happy that those paintings are seen as "classic" scifi, for I still love this type of imagery and playing with the idea of focusing on that type of work again, doing some type of my own digital customizing ;)
in fact I knocked on the door of a small German publisher who is looking for scifi artists... though its a non-commercial type of self-publishing community it would be a new challange, new paths to walk on... but no decisions were made yet.
