Both these guys look great; I really like the Gand jedi though.  I love the unique features you put into your custom sabers.  Did you use plain string or is it some tackified stuff that is wrapped around the saber staff?

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

Let's see:

Head & Hands: Bespin Guard
Neck: 2 random pieces from other figures glued together and painted to match the head
Torso: Grand Admiral Thrawn (rank insignia removed)
Arms: Wedge Antilles (dress uniform comic pack)
Legs: Jango Fett (the one everyone calls "Apartment Jango")
Feet: Mace Windu
Belt: I believe it was from a ROTS Plo Koon
Lightsaber blade: Mace Windu
Shoulder armor: TPM Gungan warrior
Shoulder armor strap: I have no idea, something I bought out of a 10 cent box at a local collectors shop
Boots: very thin, black leather, wrapped, glued, and washed several times with brown paint
Lower robe: white piece from Galen Marek Jedi robes

Does that help?

That is some multi-colored string (dark brown, brown, and tan) wrapped tightly (and glued) around the handle. Then I used a mixture of white, tan, and flesh tone paints to make a wash and brushed over the string to give it a worn out, dirty look.

Thanks for the compliment, but I have to be honest, on the Gand Jedi, there is paint on the neck and on the ligthsaber.  Glad that you thought it was a NPKB, makes me think I did a good job.

Beige, nice catch. I did use the body of the Gand Jedi for the Siniteen Jedi, however, I felt the body worked better for the Gand. I changed the feet and a few other small things. I am working on Gyrus Me Dulla. He will appear again.

Thanks. I try to keep things interesting. I get inspired by others, but don't want to just copy their work.

Must have been really lucky last week. I picked up a AOTC Vintage Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Those were the only three I saw. I haven't seen any since. What takes Hasbro SO long? Of course I live in Tennessee, so they may not think us rednecks collect anything. I can say that without sounding offensive because I AM from Tennessee.  ;D
