Are you on UK ebay, Alex? There are some good deals to be had lately, here on US ebay.

Why, in the name of all that is holy, do people insist on using virtually unmodified Barrett sniper rifles in SW customs??  I mean...I have some ideas for custom blasters that use parts from a Barrett...but just parts.  And most especially NOT the MAGAZINE WELL!!  (sorry, pet peeve - and the Mk23 SOCOM pistols are almost as bad...)

Otherwise... guy's got some neat stuff up, for sure.  I ran across his listings earlier this week.  One of these days, maybe...

Which guy, Doc? You can throw up a link in here to an ebay auction.
I think that some guys buy military figures to scrounge some of the equipment like ammo pouches and such to throw onto their SW stuff and include guns like the ones you mention. I have even done it in the past, before. I did mod the gun, of course, but not past the point where it was recognizable. That was then, this is now.

BTW, those two auctions that I posted links to, last week ended with pitiful final bids. I am sure that the seller is poed.

a Mousdroid member pointed this one out. This seller is obviouslly a goofball but it is a decent marketing ploy for his other stuff. See how many looks this item has got.

A bit pricey for a lunchbox, though.

pricey lunchbox auction

I really like his sniper squad - except for the aforementioned Barrett of course.  He's got some leftovers - bodies and guns - that I'm bidding on.  I found him while looking for loose Tredwell droids.  He's got one BIN for $6, but if I'm gonna do that, I'll go to the local WM and drop the extra $1.75 and get another Jawa w/ nice fiddlies to work with.  From time to time I just roam the SW fig category using "custom" as a keyword.  Good for inspiration...

I have seen this guys stuff before. Looks like he has some bids and a couple of his figures are doing alright, I'm glad to see. It's people like this that keep the star wars custom passion alive on ebay and I can do nothing but thank them for it because as I said before, the more competition that I have, the more people will notice and ultimately, the higher bids and more business that I get for the same stuff. The economy has been hard on the ebay seller community as people just dont want to spend their money like they used to.

That sniper squad would be fairly easy to put together with some head and accessory swaps but it does look interesting and the bidders are biting on it.

I see what you mean about the Barret. I think perhaps using the same helmet on both might have been better too. What is that an evo or jumptrooper and a mcquarrie stormy helmet? I am not so sure I like the hoods like that either, a mix of a plastic hood with a soft goods wrap. Still, I gotta agree I love the motif.

Looks to be an ATAT driver body with an evo trooper head and a commander Faie cloth tunic.

You could pull that one off, shawn. They do look good together, though. Kind of gives me an idea.............

yeah, I saw that Faie was involved heavily. Neat stuff that guy has. Some great looking mandos too with new head sculpts.

I *think* one head is an EVO and one is a Jumptrooper.  That's the #2 nitpick - *I* would have used the same helmet on both.  But I have to say...that duo and last night's AOTC sniper idea of mine have given me yet another idea...

Oh, and I *am* bidding on his guns set and those bodies.  I just really like the Apartment Fett body, esp. for civvie attire projects, of which I need a few!

Apartment Fett  LOL, I like that.
Micheal, I do have castings of those two heads. I will have to hook you up with a pair for your birthday.

Keep in mind...there's an apartment scene in a book...with lots of fig's to customize...and a certain upcoming super-articulated armored clone style will get a LOT of work in that scene...
