According to my Singapore resource, These loose new clones and the ones like Tamer and Alex won, are rumored to actually be factory rejects.I guess that they don't look bad except for a flaw in the paintjob or two. Tamer's lot of atat drivers looked good to me but not pristine, paint-wise.  He says that  in China, they go for pretty cheap, if you know who to talk to.

He has no explanation for the MOC  pre-release auctions, though.

The lot I bought I did notice had a few small paint errors with the black lines that go along the bottom of the helmets. It was not too noticeable, but at the price I got em I could live with that! You would have to look real close and really know your figure to spot it. I haven't seen any listed lately, but I know the one lister listed a hundred or more. It makes me wonder if they are selling atat drivers like this are we gonna see him released in a saga legends wave later? I hadn't heard that before. Ofcourse they could be making another run of em for that big ole huge walker we hear rumors about from time to time.

that's always true. I believe that some of the lots that we see are from hoarded factory rejects from years ago.
Just imagine, a whole garage full of ATAT driver factory rejects. I would be overwhelmed.

most of these figs are scheduled for release in package between the end of may and august. the phase 2 kashyyk clones were the order 66 clones packaged with Yoda. i haven't really seen all that is to be released, some they are keeping the lid on until closer to the release date, but it would make sense that there would be more clone commanders, especially from the skinny sets. the only ones i was sure of were a Gree and a Bly... but lots of troopers in new paints and a few with removable helmets. they even go so far as to tell you what is to be released and not release pics until right before or after the press release. oh the anticipation...

It tends to make one excitable, doesnt it? That release date sounds about right to me, also. I checked on that MOC ponds auction last night. It was up to $50. Can you believe that? Just to get one a month early or two.
BTW on the examples that I have seen, I think that they got the red on his armor too bright.

Hate to hear that Alex. The one thing I would caution you is to not get too hasty. Think how long it took you to acquire what you have. We have all faced cutback issues, but this is one outlet we can all enjoy in moderation. Its not about the size of collection, but the quality and memories and nostalgia it brings the individual who has the goodies.

Does this mean that I can't count on you to crack open your rubbermaid collection one of these days, Shawn?

See, this is what tees me off about this guys listings.
He has titled this auction as if this figure was a custom when in fact, it is a Hasbro factory reject. He is souring the credibility of my self and every other ebay custom seller. I'm telling you, he must be stopped. His factory reject army builder lots are wrecking the value of all of my loose figures. He must be stopped.
