Well Clint I got involved with a situation and didn't get that cheap auction for the gun. I am so ticked right now I can't even think straight. The one thing I wanted to do this afternoon and I got sidetracked. I will try to make sure to get the other one tomorrow.

Update: I at least have a bid in on it now. We will see how it goes

I was gonna bid on that one today and just lost track of the time, by the time I remembered it was 2 minutes too late, which made it even worse. Oh well, we will get a gun. That I can promise you.

Shawn, I can remember those days when I was hitting ebay real hard missing an auction that I really wanted.  But remember one thing that you never will know how much the winner would have went to get it, so you may not have one it anyways.  As always if you take your time one will come around in due time.

I wasl thinking the same thing about the pivot action on these guns. Every one that we have seen is pointed down so I makes since to believe that they are all broke in this way. Yeah, buddy, I'm sure that I could figure something out to make it work right.
A little engineering is all it will take.
don't worry about missing that one auction, buddy. Our gun will come. I can bid on this stuff if you want me to but I figured that you wanted to do that. I'm back to work again, so I won't be able to check on it during the day.
I am working part of the fabrication out in my head, though. The longer I have to think about it, The less problems will present theirselves when the time comes.

I don't think we can realistically find a cannon that is working for a decent price. I sent two messages today to folks who had entire loose playsets for sale and both said the pivot action on the guns was broke.

I think we can play it like this Clint. If you are online and find the price that is decent jump on it and don't worry about me and if I see one I will try to get it too. We can just use this thread to keep ourselves updated. I will take care of your ebay purchase for this pronto.

I seen that the bidder placed two bids on that auction, Shawn. There's no telling how much he put on it that second time. Bidders do that to discourage other bidders when their first bid isn't enough and they get that outbid message instantly. I do that also when I am bidding on something.

I'm sure that you seen this auction
It's already $13 more expensive including shipping.

Roger that on bidding on what I see. I should have placed a bid or two on that cheap one.

Yepper Clint. That is the one I am currently winning. It goes off tomorrow night so I have my doubts that I will win it, but the gun seems to be in better shape than the other one.  I will just call it a 13 dollar lesson if I can win it.

You are right in thinking that it could go to hell, come tomorrow night as it is friday, the ebayers have money, and have started their weekend drinking so they are more loose with their wallets.

my max bid if about six more dollars than that so I am hoping the ebay last minuters will miss by a few pennies as I upped it a bit over what I think someone will be willing to pay for it.

well that auction is over 50 dollars already including shipping so I am gonna hold off. There are a few other playsets that are still up for grabs that will hopefully not go for as much. I also put out a couple of feelers to ebay vintage stores for possible cannons today too. We will see if that goes anywhere. I just can't see spending fifty dollars or more for that cannon.

Yep, that's way too high, buddy. I'll bet you are stewing about that $20 auction, now. Another one will come along, buddy.

Stewing is one word for it Clint. I noticed one new playset auction today. There seem to be quite a few coming out now. I just have to hope I can get lucky again. Still banging my head on that one I missed yesterday.

This guy had a lot of customs that were ending today. He seems to have some decent kitbashing and painting skills.
custom fig
It seems to me that there are a bigger number of customs on than there has been in the past. The sellers haven't been listing them to run long enough, though. I would list mine to run at least a week if not 10 days. There is a better chance of more people finding them, that way.

That is a good looking snow Rex.

On another note, yet another vintage playset was taken from me in seconds at the end. I am getting closer though.

Getting a feel for those last second bidders arn't you. I will look again, tonight but I haven't seen any affordable auctions, this week.

I am getting closer to cranking up some interest in my store, again. I actually updated the store's custom pages, today, and caught myself cleaning the unused pictures out of my photo manager. I will start listing again, soon.
