Any Questions?
« on: June 09, 2008, 07:20:45 AM »
We have started a frequently asked questions page, but if you can't find what you are looking for there and need some help just ask your question below. An administrator or moderator will try to help! We all started out needing help ourselves so please don't feel "stupid" or "dumb" if you need help. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to figure something out and not just quite knowing what to do. I have done that numerous times myself!

Is this from the message section under new message or are you hitting the personal message icon right below a member's avatar? We will get you sending messages.

Guys, I'm not 100% sure yet, but I am thinking this is a type of security measure to ensure no spammers get through.  I believe that it has to do with your post count.  My guess, and I'm still looking into it, is that once you have 10 posts or so, you should be able to send PMs no problem.  If I find anything else, I'll let you all know.

Well there ya go then!  LOL!  Learn something new everyday!  Now if I could just figure out why only a very select few cannot see the graphics on our front page, I'll be happy!

Could we get a "favorites" button? If there is a post you want to keep up with you would hit this button and it would link to the thread so you can find it or later go back to check on the topic . What do you think?

True Sarge, or you can use the show new post since last visit, but lets say you are using someones thread as a reference for a custom you want to make. The thread may be old and not getting any new replies. If we had an add to favorites button you could click it and you could have a collection of your favorite customs by someone else that you might want to make for yourself. Hope that makes sense.

There is no function for that in SMF software (the software for the forums here), as it would be a completely new function, and I am definitely NOT a programmer.  The best I could suggest is to right click the title of the particular post or thread you are looking to save, and save it as a bookmark.
