Psyclone, this really is beyond awesome! I have a question, what materials is the front cockpit section made of and how did you make the rounded section? if you've got any WIP images of that section I'd love to see them.

Thanks Jules.  The cockpit is made from a large plastic drinking cup as seen here:

Both of the interior versions of the cockpit were created using sheet styrene.  The second, latest version I modified two seats from an old POTF2 Millenium Falcon Playset seen here:

http://www.rebelscum.com/potf2cdhan.asp

I'd really like to get my hands on one of those chairs and have some casts made.  I really like them.

Anyway, I have many more images on my Facebook page if you want to check out more angles and details.  Here is the link ...

Psyclone this is jaw dropping work! I am astounded! Where do you get styrene this thick? I hope not from a hobby shop or you would have about $400 in this thing already. She is a beauty and I look forward to your progress.

Thanks.  I do get the styrene at a hobby/train shop.  They order it in bulk for me and I get a bit of a discount.  It is expensive working with this stuff, no doubt but I find it's worth it to me.  Thing is with this ... you better measure 4x and cut once or you've just wasted some $. What is most expensive is the patterned styrene that Im using for detail on the wings. You probably can't see it very well from the photos so I'll get a closer shot of it soon but that is pricey.  I could have gone with other materials or even decals but it just wouldn't be the same to me.

Oh wow! I hear you and agree there is nothing like styrene for this. I did see the pattern on the wings and that is when my price estimate went up. haha This really is a thing of beauty. No other materials would look this good!
