This is a great idea.

My first custom was a 1/6 Capt Picard by never saved pics of it, my second lot of cutsoms were a 1/6 TOD and ROTLA indy figures.

My first SW figure's were actually repaints of the VOTC Han and Obi Wan and my real first SW custom was a Obi Wan in clone armour.

Here is the 1st one I did it's just a simple head swap and gun mod.

Thats Luke's body from ROTJ, the Cloud Car Pilot head and a cape .

This is before I started painting customs.

The 2nd one Is the 1st one I painted. It's a clone with the red markings it came out ok.

I think I have grown scince then!!

My first custom was terreble lol I used a potf2 Darth vader i spliced the helmet across the bottom triangle of the breath mask to remove the top part of the head and then holowed it out and then used a scuba diver g.i. joe head shaved down to fit under the helmet but i at to cut it down so small to fit it was realy bad. no images and no figure anymore. Funny thing is i liked it at the time!

Fun topic.  I'll join in.

I can narrow it down to three figures.  The figure above was one of the three and my most likely culprit for first custom.
We had 5 POA in '78...

My first custom was Wayne Holden from Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Literally my favortie fictional character and I dont know why. But when I realized they never made a figure of him I had to make one. This was just a quick custom that I didnt put much effort into details, I was testing to see how good I was to start. I repainted and sculpted his head and some of the upper torso.

I love the idea for this thread!  I don't even have a pic of my first custom---he was a simple boil-n-pop bounty hunter made from some old Boba, Jango, Trinto Duaba, and GIJoe parts---and I've already raided it for parts needed in more recent custom.  Man, I wish I had a pic: it was a pretty, pretty poor job and it is giving me a laugh now just thinking about it!   ;D

*Darknsour: I kinda like your first custom with the PotF Jedi Luke legs and cloak.  That head on that one is pretty cool!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

Hi guys, love the thread. My first 'Sten is now an adult' custom was this republic Gunship. This thing was displayed at my work for a good 5 years+. Currently though it's in a moving box waiting to be re-customized.  I can't wait to apply everything I've learned over the last few years.

Here is my first custom. It is Cobra Commander with a Storm Shadow mask on. I also painted the inside of his coat black.

Wow, this thread is on fire. I am really liking seeing those first customs.

Sten, good to see you around. I love that display stand you made to go with your gunship too.

Oh my, most of these are very nice customs. My first customs were done ages ago, before some of you were born. They are at The Custom Alliance I think. If you can imagine this they were Rebel Pilot head swaps. Then there was an article in The Star Wars Insider about getting into customizing. They had a tutorial for Toshie Station Biggs and I did my first parts swap and repaint. It looked terrible but I loved it and was hooked from there.
