the new addition looks good, the lines on your paint apps are nice and crisp! Using the tape and taping off your lines is smart, something I usually don't bother with taking the time to do (and it usually shows!)
It also looks like your pink paint might be a little thick when your applying it, you can faintly see the brush strokes... I usually have this happen with my lighter tones, the fleshtones and white's especially!
now I'm the last one to be giving advice on paint apps (mine usually suck pretty hard) but if you try thinning out the paint just a little bit you might get a more even distribution and not get the clumping. BUT by thinning it you'll have to put on several applications.
You might also be getting gunk in your brush causing more distinct brush lines... I always keep an extra rag around the painting table to constantly clean out the brush between strokes. I dip the brush, apply what I can, rub the brush against the cloth to get the "clots" off and then start over.
BUT.... like I said, I'm the last one that should be giving painting advice! I'd actually like to know what the experts like clonehead and doc-outlands might have to add?
