@Captain Lux: THanks so much!

@Ghostskull: Thanks dude! Yeah the droid really ties it together. He's a pretty easy build if you're interested

P.S. @Phatty I just saw the front page, thanks so much! It's an honor :D

Looks like you used a couple of HK-47/50 BAD arms?  And is that a Scorch accessory up top?

Honestly, that looks like a droid I'd expect to see in Appleseed or maybe GitS ('cept they don't use repulsors)...  Love the shot with it double-handing the pistol.  That one made me literally laugh out loud.

@Doc yep they're HK-50 arms. Haha yeah I know what you mean about looking like an anime droid. Honestly I wanted to create a mash-up droid that I hadn't seen yet. I was kinda thinking of the early 90s pacman when they gave him arms and legs... I wasn't really going for comic relief with him... I mean a lot of the early Star Wars stuff had a corny element to it especially in the cartoons and early marvel comics--there's always a cutesy or funny character. R2 gives us a lot of comic relief throughout the original trilogy so I was thinking of a droid along those lines. He does pack a wallop though :)

@Poffie: Thanks and welcome to the yards! Glad you like her!

Gosh, I'm out of it for a few days and you get delusions of grandeur!  Really though, terrific job on both Mandos!  That's a great color scheme; I know I, for one, love anything with orange built into it....kind of a sucker for it, I guess!

The helmet mods look good; it'd nice to see unique versions that haven't already been done to death on the boards I scrounge around on.  And there is something pretty cool about having a skull attached to the barrel of your blaster.  I mean, what do you say to that when it's pointed your way?

Awesome work, my friend!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

@JM: That is absolutely one of my favorite quotes! I use it a lot in every day conversations. Thanks! Yeah, Orange tends to be an underrated color sometimes, but it's such a "Rebel" color for SW. Glad you like the helmet mods. I wasn't aware that anyone had done the mando/x-wing helmet mash-up but I only really frequent the Yards, so... Hahaha yeah I looooove those Dalsim skulls! (gotta get more!) I think you say exactly what the person pointing the gun at you wants you to say and you say it quick! Glad you approve!

I can see your floater providing much the same element as R2 or V.I.N.Cent from Black Hole or the tachikomas from Ghost in the Shell - "cheerfully homicidal" and "naively violent" both come to mind, too.  "That floating head is pointing a rather large blaster at us!"

Another great update. I agree with your reasoning and everything you said about the pilot helmets. This one looks fine as it is on a thicker male body. Great paint aps and interesting idea on that droid!

THanks Spry! Thrilled you enjoyed these guys! Yeah the Deena Shan body is just a bit spindly even before the helmet. However it is one of the best female bodies for that "comic book-esque" representation of the female form. Whereas most of the Leias released are just boxy and blocky. I think I may have found my pilot crew for the Z'ceptor, what do you think?

@DD: So glad you're loving them! It's not easy engineering a droid that looks both different, yet not like just a bunch of parts glued together. I think the matching paint scheme helps to tie him into the team/story.

@Spry: Maybe the metallic orange and gray paint scheme could somehow play into the Z'Sceptor. Your choice :)

@JMT: WOw! Now that's a high mark even for a droid :D As for my next project, I've been really inspired by Spry's desert native figures for his collab on SWA (check it out if you haven't!) and I just started playing the game RAGE (by ID) which features a post apocalyptic world in the desert full of mutants, bandits, and settlers. Combining steampunk with Mad Max and a little half life/mass effect. Highly recommended to any fans of the aforementioned games or generes. So I'm slowly considering some Desert dweller figures that easily fit into the SWU but also could be in their own U altogether. Got some old west meats outer space looking weapons so far.

@Psy: Thanks buddy! He's an easy build if you want one of your own :)
