I've been buried under a pile of fodder trying to finish, restart, and touch-up some long WIP customs. I have also added 4 new figures to the Gotham Mando collection of figures (Bat-Mandalorians) and have 2 of them finished. I've also been selling some of my earlier work on eBay. Kinda fun to get paid to do something you love
Anyway, I have always looooved Batman The Animated Series, Batman Adventures, Batman Beyond and pretty much anything Bruce Timm lays his hands on. My all time favorite characters from BTAS have always been Joker and Harley Quinn. The Joker, voiced by Mark Hamill is in my opinion the best portrayal of the Joker to date, second only to Heath Ledger's edgier, more modern take. Jack Nicholson is a close third too. They took a lot of cues from the Jack Nicholson Joker from Tim Burton's film--the orange and purple color scheme, the bow tie, the wide brimmed hat, the cane etc. etc. I could go on and on about how I love The Joker. Even better is Harley Quinn and her obsessive love for Mr. J. The dynamic that exists between Joker and Harley Quinn is one of the greatest creations in modern culture. The unrequited love and how Harley is always trying to get Joker to pay attention to her instead of focusing on killing Batman. Harley Quinn was created for the Animated Series and before that she didn't exist. She added an element of depth to the Joker and helped to distract him from his schemes. Anyway, I love these characters and so I put a lot of that love into these customs:
The Joker Mandalorian comes with a Star Wars style Tommy gun, side arm in working holster, a removable helmet, and a removable "bullet proof" mando-armor vest with an acid squirting rose attached to canister of poison or Joker gas, and a rocket pack for quick getaways. His orange undershirt is in this version an Arkham Asylum jumpsuit with the sleeves cut off. The number 0801 is from "The Killing Joke".
