Love the female Death Trooper!  Excellent representations of our undead friends!   ^-^

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

Thanks WB! It's ok! I can't remember half the stuff I post either--there is just so much cool stuff here to comment on! Glad you like the Imp Officer head! It's from an Army of Darkness Pit Witch. I modded the hair to make it more of a 1970s balding officer look. I've got a trove of new customs coming soon! At least 11 new figures--definitely more on the way.

Alright it feels great to be back! I've been working with a ton of newly acquired fodder and have churned out about 20 or so WIP figures, most of which will be crewing my up coming Freighter and Long Range Fast Attack Recon Fighter builds. I am working on a pre-Old Republic crew of scientists and explorers part of a Galactic Congress sanctioned expansion and discovery group called EPOCH Corps. I have a 4 man Ubese crew in the works, some mandos, bounty hunters, smugglers, and more! Among them I did a really simple build with a clunky old POTF2 Momaw Nadon figure. Then I was inspired by Mando Assassin's female Rebel Hoth Sniper (from Battle Front 2, one of the best Star Wars games EVER!) and so I came home from work and banged one out!

First up we have Awnwa Modon, Momaw Nadon's niece and a rebel X-Wing pilot. Inspired by her Uncle's covert work for the Alliance, Awnwa came of age shortly after the destruction of Alderaan and joined the Alliance before the battle of Yavin. She flew as Purple 6 in the evacuation of Hoth.

Next up is Bree Oldsun an Alliance sharpshooter who fought to repel the Imperial invasion forces during the battle of Hoth. Taking down a record number of 9 Imperial Snowtroopers before her position was overrun she retreated into Echo Base and assisted with the evacuation. She would fight the Empire again on Endor, newly premoted, and leading a squad of rebel commando snipers during the assault and then defense of the Imperial Shield Generator. She would go on to retire from combat operations and take a position as a riflery instructor in the Alliance combat academy and live to see the prosperity of The New Republic.

Wow, I don't think I have seen an Ithorian Rebel Pilot. I think it looks great as does your Hoth Female Trooper. Back on the front page.

Thanks Tamer! I use a Nikon 3000 with a wide angle lens. I found that my tight zoom lens was well too tight lol. That is to say it had such a small depth of focus once you zoomed in that often it would pick one detail on the figure and the rest would be less in focus. With the wide angle I set it on Macro and then often zoom out then I crop in tight in editing, that way the whole figure is in focus. Or more of it is. I'd say even more important than a good camera is good lighting! In my workshop I have overhead florescent lighting and then I use two mini florescent lights on little tripods with ultra bright nearly LED bulbs. Then I adjust the levels a little bit. Unless I'm shooting a snow scene I usually try to adjust away from the colder feel of the florescents. But for Hoth I think it works nicely. The hardest part is always getting the figure to stand up and hold a ridiculous action pose before falling over. That's why Hasbro hotglues their figures' feet to their stands at cons and promotions ;)

Awesome!  love the fact that an alien pilot actually has "boots" that fit his physical features (and not the human version that Mon Cal seem to have).

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!
