i doubt it, even if they did, they WOULDN'T send US spec ops. anyone with a inkling of millitary knowledge would send the S.A.S. hands down, no offence but S.A.S are much better than US spec force as S.A.S trained US spec force. i doubt it

This was a CIA operation and utilized NAVY seals. They have confirmed by DNA that it is/was him and they also used photo recognition as well. All in the compound was killed and unfortunately we lost one helicopter but no Americans were hurt. Great job on behalf of everyone involved!
He was buried at sea, good, I hope they pissed on his body before they dumped it in the water.
I'm not an Obama supporter but I have to give it to him, it happened on his watch and he deserves the credit for bringing that SOB down.

even tho i heartily agree with Harry that the S.A.S. are one of the premier special forces in the world(for instance they invented the "KillHouse" a CQB training tool thats used by special forces all over the world ,and they had a hand in training a lot of them) i agree that this operation does make sense that it was a S.E.A.L.s(the only easy day was yesterday  )operation as the yanks would want a U.S. force to finish him off as a matter of National Pride (and retribution)

i take offence to that ,dont forget that american administrations have repeatedly used the SAS for their black ops in the past ,and theres a reason for that ,a lot of some of the best special forces in the world have been trained  by SAS instructors (including yours)  and our SBS is easily a match for the SEALS... but this  had to be a top to bottom  US operation for prestige reasons ,the atrocity was perpetrated on american soil so the american force had to be seen to be the ones delivering justice,also the burial at sea was for two reasons ,to deny any fanfare to the terrorists  and to deny them a burial place to create a shrine to a matyr(in their eyes ) .

the more people that know about it the more of a chance theres a leak, but lets be honest, Obama is up for reelection in 2012 and he's slipping in the polls and needed something to take the peoples mind off the economy and gas prices rising, so yeah, he needed a US victory and he got one, but I believe that we could have got Osama long ago if we had kept the intel hush hush before.

"I''m glad the US didnt involved anyone else in this operation"  that bit  made it sound as if  the rest of us are incompetant (just bear in my weve lost more than a few good men to "blue on blue" AKA friendly fire involving the americans  ,but you never hear of brits firing on the US forces by mistake)  ,sorry but i'm fiercely proud of what my nation and what it  has achieved (ok not ALL of it,but certainly most of it)and i just felt that was a snipe at your allies which includes us  ,but i do agree the pakistani army is corrupt as hell and next to useless ,just remember that the CIA have dropped more than a few clangers in the past ,as an intelligence agency they leave a lot to be desired ..

know what you mean  my wife has 3 cousins all serving in afghanistan(i believe ) all in different units .
