It's true.  Doing something from the real world, and getting it perfect, as you have, is incredibly difficult. We've all seen an alley in real life, so can spot anything that doesn't ring true immediately. Fantasy is a much more forgiving mistress!  Are you planning on tackling a set from the Star wars universe?  Perhaps an alley on Coruscant, or Tatooine?

To be quite honest, I am not much of a Star Wars guy  :o

I mean, I like the movies just fine, but don't see myself doing many(if any) SW dioramas just yet.

I think it's the opposite Droidworld. I don't know enough about SW to make something and not have it be dissected by true fans..lol.

I do have a snap together At-St waiting to be built, and I plan on making a small foresty base for it, but that's about as far I would go I think.

Who knows though, never say never right?

Simple but effective. I am starting to think that you must have a ton of these that you have built.
Have you ever done any ww2 or real world military dioramas? Your work reminds me of stuff that the 1/35th scale military modelers do.

Sadly, that's about all I have. I have a new diorama in the works, but I have stalled on it after opening the web store, and just life itself. It's a diorama from the video Sober by Tool.

Google "Sober Video" if you want to check it out.

This will be a bit of an amalgam of a couple scenes, as he's in different rooms throughout the video. This room will feature the table, chair, hole in floor, and "meat through pipe" scenes.

Here is the start:

While I wish I could take full credit for the idea, I cannot.

Someone over on Fwoosh did one, and actually made the little guy for me. His was a bit different though.

My brain is exploding from how rad these are.  Do you have a blog that you talk about your process on?  I'm fascinated!
I have altered the action figure. Pray I don't alter it further.

I  don't. I started building dioramas before blogs were popular...lol. I have created build threads, but I made these so long ago, that they have probably been pruned by now.
