Another cross-over idea! This one brings the Shirai Ryu clan from Mortal Kombat (Scorpion's posse) cutting and slicing into the Joeverse!
As the battle with Cobra intensified, it got quieter...more personal. Gone were the days of eight-wheeled, missle-laden, neon-colored weapons of mass destruction. Gone were the Weather Dominators. In their place, were small inter-squad skirmishes...the outcomes of which were no less serious than in the days of large machinery based battles.
Both the Joes and Cobra attempted to hire members of the Arishikage Clan to no avail. The Clan Elder decreed that since it had a son on both sides of the battle (Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow), that it would not furnish ninja for either side. But the Arishikage aren't the only option.
Cobra soon contracted the Shirai Ryu Clan for mercenaries. It's most infamous member, the ninja assassin codenamed "Scorpion" was unavailabe, but the Shirai Ryu hired out the best squad available, the "Desert Winds" squad. These ninja are more along the lines of Snake Eyes, being closer to "ninja commandos" than the "standard ninja" of pop culture. Not afraid to wield any and all weaponry, these deadly assassins are a force to be reckoned with.
