Man!  I've been away for a long while.  That's not cool.  Here are pics of my latest piece...AXE COP!  If you don't know what Axe Cop is about, that's just sad.  This fig is based on the cartoon based on the comic developed by a 5yr old and his 28yr old comic book artist brother.  It's super ridiculous and loads of fun.  Also, Axe Cop is voiced by Nick Offerman, who is totally awesome.  http://axecop.com/

Source pic, from the cartoon:

Axe Cop, with trusty axe and the Secret Attack Almanac accessories.

Reading from the Secret Attack Almanac:

Which initiates "Giant Axe Lightning Attack!":

And, of course Axe Cops needs some Jetpack Zombies to fight until he chops their heads off:

The build:
Head from 25th Gung Ho
Tie cut from a DCU Commissioner Gordon
Badge cut from package clamshell
Body from an unknown fodder Joe
Arms from ROC Sgt. Stone
Upper Legs from ROC Storm Shadow
Lower legs from a 25th Tunnel Rat
Axe and Secret Attack Almanac are LEGO minifig accessories
Giant Axe from a DG generic Army Man set
Lightning effects from various SW figs

Jetpack Zombies were just random fodder bodies from The Box, with heads from Sith Happens, aka Sanitarium Customs.  Thanks for tuning in!

I'm only slightly familiar with the show, but you definitely captured the look here.  There isn't much one can do with extra Gung Ho heads, but this is the perfect use for them!

Absolutely LOVE the jetpack-wearing zombies!  Perfect!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

Re: 10/20 Scout Sniper Light Armor Mando! NEW!

The Mando known only as "Phaze" was Jango Fett's top sniper teacher choice when he was recruting the Cuy'Val Dar.  A self-taught Mando with no clan of his own, Phaze usually operates as a scout sniper for a larger force, speciallizing in urban actions.  He's equipped with a custom weapon that operates as either an energy blaster or slugthrower.  He also utilizes a pair of DL-44 sidearms after his time in the Cuy'Val Dar and a vibroblade housed in a sheath on his left forearm.  Phaze doesn't wear the standard Mandolorian armor style, instead using a lightweight design that focuses on speed and stealth.  It won't hold up in a prolonged gunfight, but Phaze doesn't need it to.  Quiet in manner, slow to anger but fiercely loyal and deadly to a fault, Phaze is just what Jango needed to train Republic Commando units.

Cuy'Val Dar RC Sniper Trainer "Phaze" in light armor with urban camo was built using a variety of SW and Joe parts.  Thanks for tuning in!

Thanks, guys.  At this point, I may need to re-brand myself as "Mandatory Mandos".   Hmmm...

Now, onto the questions:

The red "X" on his armor is a personal decoration, with meaning only to him...i.e. I just thought it looked cool and would pop against his blue color-scheme.
He's not a Chiss (he'd have to be an albino), but rather one of the several (nearly-interchangeable) species of "near-human" as listed on wookiepedia.  I didn't pick one.  Mandos don't consider bloodlines to be important, and he's a loner anyway.
