Got 5 of the molds in, as they all came from one vendor - haven't gotten the chance to do much with them yet, but this weekend should be calm enough to do some playing.
Now... I have extolled the virtues of paper-modeling in recent installments. I've even reviewed a particular model. Well, today is NOT a complete review. No, it is a teaser. I bought Glenn's newest product, the "OctoPad." It is an elevated landing platform. Droll? Boring? Far from!! For starters, Glenn has included leg extensions that let you build your octopad as high off the ground as you like. Second, the landing pad has 7 choices of graphics for the center. Third, the 'Pad can be printed out ... in two sizes. Yes, you can have an 8" landing pad or a 12" monster! If you are challenged in coming up with a mental image of how big that is, I can help.
It holds a Cobra Gunship.
Yes, a Gunship.
The 12" platform swallows the Freeco Speeder. I mean, really - hello, twin-pod cloud car! If you look at the pics and like what you see - keep in mind all I've done is just cut out the landing pad quarters - hit the link and drop a whopping $4 on the OctoPad set. Then drop him an email and let him know you are an action-fig customizer. He's doing some prelim work on testing his models out in a larger scale specifically for us. If you like his work and want to see more and see it in our scale, let him know we appreciate him.
And now - pics.....
