Doc, sorry to hear about your loss. I would have chimed in sooner, but I never know what to say. I know when I lost mine it just stunk.

On a positive note, glad to hear about the interview and hope the guy gets back from court quick like.

Thanks, everyone.  Tamer, I know exactly what you mean.

Then, Monday night, my oldest wrapped her momma's car around an electric pole on her way to a friend's house.  That leaves us with ONE VEHICLE - a standard-cab pickup - for getting 6 people (5, since the oldest rarely goes anywhere with the rest of the family) where they need to go.  Oldest has a job that requires an hour-ish drive each way.  I'm waiting to hear back on an interview schedule.  Can you see the fun about to ensue?

Battered and bruised, a few scratches around her right temple, but otherwise fine - she's back at work today.  Which means, since she destroyed mom's car, *I* had to drive her to work, an hour away from home, and sit and wait on her for a 5-hour shift.

Decorating the crash space...

Here's pics of the room where I crash during the work-week.  Anyone got any ideas on decorating?  Shelving colors to use or avoid? etc?

Yeah, working on THAT part... got a tool-tote loaded with casting stuff to go back and forth from home to hut!  It's the fitting in molding/casting between working and all the support activities between work & sleep that's been tricky so far...  :-/

Grabbed 3 different WWII airborne soldiers at a Fred's we passed coming home from a concert this morning.  Should yield up three new heads and some various pouches.  Plus, if I work out casting hands, they came with interchangeable bare and gloved hands.  Passed on at least one more soldier for now... will see how these guys work out and if they do me well, I'll return for others.

Painting several advertising models today.  Periwinkle-blue ammo cans?  Stay tuned...

Staff holographer is on-station for a holo-shoot of the painted items.  She brought some assistants with her, can't wait to see what they present.

Casting is underway for three trade-orders and one cantina outfitting.  Hurricane has raised our local humidity to the point casting gets tricky and is slowing me down.  But I press on!

As part of the cantina deal, I'm pouring up a batch of bar glasses.  I picked up some blue tint last week at Hobby Lobby specifically for this task, to see how it worked with the Alumilite clear resin.  We'll know in about 24 hours.  However, I also tried it on a small batch of the regular white resin I use, putting just a single drop into about 5ml of resin.  It turned the resin an interesting industrial blue-grey color and seems to have worked significantly better than the opaque blue I tried last time.  Maybe my technique was better this time.

I'll have pics of numerous boxes up in short order for general viewing.
