Here it is, in case you missed it on the FB pages (thanks, Tamer!) and in the Dioramas thread:

One thing disappointed me with my casts, once I got them painted.  I can see where the molds have lots of little imperfections caused by air trapped in the HSIII as it cures.  The only cures for it are to treat the holes in the final product - I guess with some extremely minute amounts of super-glue - or get a vacuum-chamber and degauss my HSIII before pouring it up.  The smaller pieces don't have issues, just the larger pieces with flat sides.  Plus, some of it is due to air in the resin.  The solution there is to use a longer-setting resin and the pressure pot for curing.

My pleasure the casts turned out great. When I put my Hoth Bar in when I finally do getting around to making it I want some of these.

Just let me know when you are ready, Tamer!

Peeled the first part of the updated table mold out of its mold-box (a short pringles can).  The center area is still rather tacky, so more air-cure time is needed.  I'm hoping it will be dry enough by tomorrow morning that I can put it into another Pringles can and pour up the second half of the mold.  All things going well, it will be ready for casting next weekend.  Ok, it'll likely be ready before then, but I will be away at work, so it'll be Friday before I get to work with it any more.

The Iconic Box has at least two more iterations coming - a smooth-surfaced style and a double-length style, like the Scanning Crew box from ANH's Death Star hangar scenes.

I'm designing another rather small box based on a paper-model from Finger & Toe.  If it all goes together in reality the way it goes together in my head, the lid will be removable and the box will be hollow.  It will be sized about like a briefcase or small suitcase.  (You can see the inspiration for the box being carried by my entry in the "Hide In Plain Sight" contest.)  Should that come together as planned, it will be available for sale.

Chris West (whose kickstarters I have promoted in recent days & whose website is mapsofmastery.com) draws some very nice little cargo boxes on his RPG maps.  I intend to have a go at some of them eventually, as well.

I'm going to pick up some additional opaque and transparent resin tints this week & continue pursuing really cool-looking cantina glassware next weekend.

Oh, and just for Wraith9!  There's a clear R3 dome curing right now, mate!  Hopefully the clear resin I've gotten ahold of will turn out a better product than the last stuff I tried to use for the dome...

While double-checking something in my shop, I discovered I have a bottle of flesh-tone resin coloring. The first test-casts have come out AWESOME! I can now cast properly-colored heads!!

Doc, Flesh tone heads? Awesome! I am also wanting some clear R-3 domes when they are available.

MA, that sounds like a subtle hint for a comparison pic...  Sadly, the heads tested were super-top-secret project heads which cannot be revealed at this time.  I'll have to follow up with less super-secret castings to show off.

Spry, *IF* this resin works out, you'll hear my cries of joy from there!!  This clear resin has a MUCH better optical property than the muddy crap Hasbro got stuck with.  I'm just hoping it retains some rigidity when used to cast such a thin piece as this R3 dome...
