Just let me know when you are ready, Tamer!
Peeled the first part of the updated table mold out of its mold-box (a short pringles can). The center area is still rather tacky, so more air-cure time is needed. I'm hoping it will be dry enough by tomorrow morning that I can put it into another Pringles can and pour up the second half of the mold. All things going well, it will be ready for casting next weekend. Ok, it'll likely be ready before then, but I will be away at work, so it'll be Friday before I get to work with it any more.
The Iconic Box has at least two more iterations coming - a smooth-surfaced style and a double-length style, like the Scanning Crew box from ANH's Death Star hangar scenes.
I'm designing another rather small box based on a paper-model from Finger & Toe. If it all goes together in reality the way it goes together in my head, the lid will be removable and the box will be hollow. It will be sized about like a briefcase or small suitcase. (You can see the inspiration for the box being carried by my entry in the "Hide In Plain Sight" contest.) Should that come together as planned, it will be available for sale.
Chris West (whose kickstarters I have promoted in recent days & whose website is mapsofmastery.com) draws some very nice little cargo boxes on his RPG maps. I intend to have a go at some of them eventually, as well.
I'm going to pick up some additional opaque and transparent resin tints this week & continue pursuing really cool-looking cantina glassware next weekend.
Oh, and just for Wraith9! There's a clear R3 dome curing right now, mate! Hopefully the clear resin I've gotten ahold of will turn out a better product than the last stuff I tried to use for the dome...
