commentary on the gallery mechanics - how the HECK can I switch it off auto-advance or at least pause it so I can look at the stuff in detail??  The Hasbro presentation shot past the ones I wanted to linger over and hung up on the useless slides.

From a legacy/realistic fig standpoint, I saw some stuff I liked and some stuff I ... hated.  Revenge of the Jedi pkging?  Repacking it all for that???  WTF?  Very happy to see I nailed not just the landspeeder, BUT ALSO Ric Olie, a Naboo Pilot, and a Naboo Royal Security!  Now, if they'd pull a female Naboo Pilot out of their hat...  But I'm happy to see what we're seeing.

TCW - you guys know I'm not a fan there.  Some might accuse me of feeling like Hasbro is wasting plastic that could be used to make more Legacy goodies that actually get to stores.  BUT.  While most of the figures are uninteresting, I like the looks of most of the vehicles and the Spider Assassin droid.  I have uses for those, oh yes.

Here is a little Joe love:

http://www.imperialshipyards.net/Galleries/sdcc-2011-joe-high-rez-gallery

No Presentation yet, but if they put one up, we will get it on the Gallery for you.

The SDCC Exclusives look sweet, my gal with love that pic gal and Zarana.

Hasbto has nothing new scedualed for GI Joe at SDCC.  In fact there is a big hub-bub rumor about Kwinn being canceled because he didn't make an appearence but was shown at Joe con and Canada con.  Data Viper is confirmed cancelled and is not shown.  Someone asked about it to a Hasbro rep who basicly said they showed Kwinn at the two previous cons cause it was a "better audence to preview him."  Umm yeah, sounds like typical double speak.

I was expecting some more looks at the 30th stuff since they don't have a great deal of time between now and GI Joe 2 (which will have a line of course) and this is quite possibly the best time to showcase them.  NYCC can work but is often not where many toys are premired (with the exception of Marvel Universe) but who knows.

Beside teh "X" to close the slides there is a "Stop slideshow" that if you click will stop the slideshow and you can scroll through as you please.

LOL. Thanks Zed, you figured out that gallery quicker than I did. Just do what Zed says Doc, and it will stop that. Some folks like it, some folks won't so thats why you can stop it. Just imagine an Outland Station Gallery Doc.

Well I guess no more Joe love then. I just figured they would do one whenever they did a SW one, shows you how much I know. Speaking of what I don't know, I came across this little tidbit on facebook courtesy of the Yak and Flyguy.net. Wouldn't you just love to hear these were being made? Seems like a company called ThreeA is making a pitch to make six inch SW figures. The pictures in that link sure would make me get a few of em.

Our friends at Echo Base Forums just put up a great Sideshow Gallery. Just one pic of that Boba, but I put in a personal request for a small video of it. David says the Grievous is just outstanding too. I can't wait to see them hit the GG Booth.

Got lucky really, hit it on accedent and noticed it changed, still I think it's pretty spiffy once you figure it out.

Disappointing event in my mind.  And that Hasbro is pushing another wave back into 2012?  I guess if that means some of the figures I actually want start showing up on the pegs, that will be good.

I was ultra disapointed in the fate of the Evanzan wave, but it could be worse and they could have been cancelled (might still be) so I guess I should count my blessings.

Thanks - I *assumed* the "stop slideshow" was the label for the X, so I kept hitting the X, thus closing the slideshow.

Tamer, believe me, I *am* imagining just such a thing!!

Well, crap.

I see *several* in here that I like for either copying their heads or for some minor customizing into Fixer-verse characters!  *sigh*  A *third* line to hose my already meager bank-account???

LOL. I figured you would be Doc.

Ok, I am plagued by dial up so please forgive me for not much fp news today, but today is Marvel Day at the con and continue to check out the front page. I just put up a video of the Marvel items from the Con thanks to a facebook link by Chad and I also got word from SW Action News that they are gonna livestream the Marvel Presentation Today (bandwidth permitting) so I am gonna put that up at the top. It will be around 2pm PST so that means 6 PM to me so you should see the off air show up with an on air and you can go from there.

Other tidbits for now are the fact that the Target new Three Packs seem to be hitting retail so you might want to look for those, I am trying to see if they are up online yet, but once again dial up is getting me down.

Also, our friends at Echo Base Forums are continueing to give us some great Galleries too so be sure to check out the following:

Hasbro

Gentle Giant

Sideshow

Folks your internet speeds are much faster than mine so if you see more neat stuff. Copy and paste and give us some new pics  because I am definitely not at the top of my game this weekend, if I ever do have a top of my game! ;D

Cool deal Pat. Today is a good day for Marvel. I almost wish I collected Marvel instead of SWnow. Daggone they have some great additions. The GG items alone are over the top, but the AF line looks good to me too.

Scum, via facebook, just shared "the Word from the floor is that the Walmart wave revealed yesterday will not be on Vintage cardbacks...but will be on the new 2012 "Darth Maul" design", somehow I had a feeling they were steering away from the vintage cardbacks daggone it.

One thing to add on the MU coverqge that it seems everyone missed, behind Juggernaught and Colossus pack is a DD/Bullseye pack that (and it took three days to find a good shot of them) uses the Jim Lee Cyclops body (one of the best, most articulated bodies I have ever seen from an american figure in  this scale).  In other words we FINALLY have a decent DD and Bullseye (the Wave 1's were less than stellar).
