Wow. I do like Robocop. I think you are doing him great justice.

Love it when he popped on that jet pack and grabbed the big gun when he took on the Japanese Ninja Cyborg and then the Corporation.

Anyhow, back on the front page. I hope the Olympics still give you a bit of time to customize.

Thanks guys!!!

I know there are more 'screen accurate' Robocop figures out there - but I fancied having some fun...

Mine  is made from an old 1990s Toy Island figure that I had knocking around...

First off I cast a spare helmet that has been 'battle damaged.'

Secondly I stripped the figure down and used my Dremel to hollow out the joints and armour.

Into which I place parts of a GI Joe accelerator figure that I had left over. This included the hands, arms, pelvis, upper thighs and knees.

The Light-Fifty is made by Marauder. I also have an Auto-9 but I am saving this for a second 'pristine' Robo

Here's a few more WIP pics

More soon

Ray

I've got the base coat on now - looking a bit less
'patchworky' today...sadly most of the painting I've done today has been on my house!!

May have to do something with the scope on the .50 to make it more like the Cobra in the movie...

Hey guys thanks for the great feedback!! The articulation in this RCs is pretty groovy - as Tamer said you can pose them in the most goofy of stances!

This guys is a prototype who needs some cleaning up prior to painting as I wasnt sure how much grinding of the Blanx would be needed when I started out!

And as for height? Here's a comparison...there's not a lot in it to be honest!

I'm looking forward to building my battle damaged Robo next! Thanks once again for looking...

All the best,

Ray

Will you ever plan on making super arty omega and delta RC's?

@DO lol back in the day Kenner and Toy Island released all sorts of bonkers Robocop variants!

@Mando, thanks man - no plans re Delta Squad just the three RCs on my dio. RCs are fairly difficult to come by here in the UK. I was lucky to get these three factory seconds!

@Botwt - thanks as ever buddy!!

Starting to get the paint on Robo...

Nice and simple silver on the armour then a dark Mig wash,  the joints, hands etc will remain black but with a gloss varnish. The legs are pretty much done, just got the body and arms left to do!

Quite happy with my home cast helmet too!
