Hey Gang!
@ CloneSniper, Jedi Merc, Tamer, Keeper2, Mando1992, Mungo, HansFK, Kurga, Luke Spry, LucasClones & SithFrire30 - Thanks again for the positive comments regarding my continuing efforts – your work has inspired me to take on a project to stretch my beginners skills!
I know that Aliens has a soft spot in the hearts of many Sci Fi fans of my era
& @Darth Optimus I’m looking out for a bug or two to add to a mini dio when I’ve finished the squad!!
@ JoerHyno – It was that very thread that inspired me to take on the Marines after my first ever SW custom figs. John’s APC is amazing and well beyond my fledgling skills. I’d love to find a Rhino, but over here in the UK Hasbro has even cackier distribution than the US!!
These figures are based on characters that I created for a family & friends RPG session that I run a couple of times a year (we use converted GW minis for gaming that my friend painted up for us.)
Ok from the left we have Wiley - the demolitions expert. Wiley still needs his leg & Shoulder armour and a modded clone commando pack. He also needs his helmet camera.
In the middle is AJ, the ComTech. Again AJ needs his leg and shoulder armour and some fine detail work on his motion tracker.
And finally on the right we have Mack the old sweat Smartgunner. Mack is mocked up with incorrect armour. He will actually have a modded General Veers vest, painted black with a chest mounted pistol added to it. Mack will also have a backpack and a head cam added.
The final squad member will be “Snoop” the time sniper – I’ll be basing him on a POC Duke, armoured and painted like the other Grunts. He will be armed with a custom sniper rifle and a M41 Pulse Rifle.
Thanks again for reading – All the best, Ray
Ps Clone Sniper - glad you like Soolin, a bit of drybrushing seemed to sort out the paint problems I initially faced
