You could go a silver or bright gunmetal for the first coat and another color over that. Then you could scratch or scuff the top coat enough so that the under coat shows through. Kind of a forced weathering effect.

I could see Fixer having about a hundred different stickers and marks all over it. Kind of like an old washed up race car!

Ooohh I LIKE IT.  you should do the top in a metalic red!  HOT ROD fixer!  ;)  hell throw some flames on him too! lol to hell with the beat up look, make him look like something that a bunch of grease monkeys and space jockeys would paint up all fancy in their spare time.... oh... that gives me ideas....

Painted the rest of Fixer's body parts last night while heads were curing in their molds.  Dunno when I'll pick up on him again, as I have some other figs higher on the list just yet.

Picked up my IG Lancer droid to look it over after seeing Sinje's mind-blowing ultra-articulated Grevious fig on RS.  Found out the Lancer has a lotta removeable hoses and other greeblies I could tag onto Fixer and some others for nice detail.

wow I might have to copy that general grevious fig... that is freaking awesome!  now I wish I'd gotten more ig-86s when they went on clearence... :(
