Is that darker color a brown? I could see this being a cool paint scheme on an animated boba.

idk... no offense doc but its not pleasing my eye.  I think the arm and leg color is what is getting me.  I like the black on orangeish colors you have going on the chest though.  I'd run with that.

Yeah, the armor plates are painted "Raw Umber" - a *very* dark brown.  The idea was to use something like desert camo colors but not paint a camo pattern.  The khaki undersuit isn't exactly working for me, either.  But, then, I haven't painted gaunts, boots, belt, etc. yet.  I'm considering Yellow Ochre for his gaunts (this is close to Afrika Mustard, Clint).  Might paint his codpiece to match the chestpieces and go with a lighter brown for the belt.  Boots - maybe black.  We'll see.

Now you got me curious. Sounds interesting. This fig is a test bed for a color scheme for that animated boba I sent you, isn't it?

yeah with everything else painted it should come together nicely.  Very interesting choice of colors... I'm so bad at making good decisions on color schemes.  I use what I know works and usually wind up with a very generic looking fig.

I get myself worked up sometimes because I construct what I think is going to become an awesome figure or vehicle and then I screw the paint up on it by using a bad color scheme or just fraking it up somehow and ruin all my hardwork :(....

Good possibility, Clint.  I've got several Mando ideas going and figured the old POTF guys could help out as test-beds.  In fact, I've considered using them as test-beds for armor colors for our full-scale outfits.  "Look!  I'm an action figure!"

Spud, I know exactly what ya mean!!  That's happened more often than I care to admit on my own stuff.

Did some work last night.  Only thing I had a chance to do today was basecoat the jetpack.  This reminds me of my days when I re-painted little green army men!

May well have been you, Narce!  I just can't remember.  But it struck a chord and I ran with it.

Well, the jetpack is drying on the paintrack, the cape may just be the repainted "Standard Issue Boba" cape w/ Wook braids cut off, and the BFG...  Well, with him being so buff (cartoon) and his paintjob (cartoon), he's really gotta have an over-the-top cannon, doncha think?  Something in the "stupidly huge" category, maybe...  Hafta see what I can find...   ;D
