So, there's the Yakfinities #29: Teams! competition.  So far, we've seen a team of Jedi, a team of Endor Rebels, and a team of "otherwise" Rebels.  They look like a group of gaming PCs to me.  All good stuff.  I had intended to go with my hanger-bay service crew of droids.  But now?  With all those Rebel Scum??  No.  No, the Imperial in me has come out.  To that end, I picked up 2 more Cmdr Faie figs in town this evening.  Yes, my 4-man Imperial Sniper team will be entered.  Those rebel scum will rue the day they crossed blasters with the Empire, for our finest are about to take the field....

I also picked up a halogen desklamp to help find my figs on the desk, 3 paint palettes, and a brush-on metallic blue that is a fairly close match for the Krylon I use.

Doc, I have a couple of straight bar sections that I could let you borrow, If you need them for your pic. that wouldn't be much of a problem. Of course the Post Office isnt open until Tuesday.

Man, you have a lot of stuff going on. That would be almost too much stuff at once for me to handle.

No, worries, I can pull it off without the bar sections.  It'll actually turn into a micro-dio on the 'Station once I get them, tho.

Yeah, I'll be walking back into the Faie's tomorrow, putting some stuff together.  I kinda took today off.

???  WTF?  No I didn't!  I had a test-fit of a belt on Faie today and shopped hard for pieces.   Grabbed an "Ultimate Bounty" Bossk for a "Teklet Tango" dio I have in mind from the Republic Commando books.  Got several other loose figs for bits and pieces - 5 figs for under $13 from one.   ;D  Made me happy.  15 "cinema scene" stands - that'll let me get another 45 figs standing up.  A TC14 protocol droid and a pair of pit droids with the engine analyzer accessory.  Another early Leia for the cloak I'm painting.  Gotta have a mold for the tissue-mache approach!  I tell ya, once I get that worked out, I bet my figs look TONS better!

I need four Kashyyyk Trooper belts.   ::)  They look GOOD on the Faie sniper.  Need to repaint them gloss white.  I'm bidding on trooper lots out of Macau, just for the belts!   :D

You would too, right?   ;D

This is the sniper.  I added a rangefinder from a Hunt for Grievous battle-pack ARC Trooper to the helmet.  The belt came off a Kashyyyk Trooper.  The cloak, as was mentioned, is from the first Leia Hasbro released, I think.  I'll be trying out that foil and hot-glue trick to see if I can fab-up a headwrap that has been pushed down.  Ideally, he'll get a sniperplate of some type.  Maybe I should go get the Baccara rig out of the shop and try it on real quick...   ;D  Addicted?  Whachu talkin 'bout, Willis??   O0

The more I mess with him, the better it gets!!  Reckon I should start painting his cloak details.  But man!  I was so blown away by how well things looked, even in several disparate color schemes, I had to share!!

Doc, that sniper testfit is just rockin, dude! This one is just going to turn out cool. Sounds like you are feeling the same sort of excitement that I get when a custom project is shaping up cooler than I had hoped.

So I grabbed up my red Clone Commander and surgically removed his way-kool flip-down visor.  Then I test-fitted that buggar onto the Faie helmet.  Remember my micrometer said the helmet was too wide?  It was right.

Fig1 - Top-down shot of the visor's splay-legged fit.  I think shaving down the inside of each leg will allow a fit.
Fig2 - In yo' face!
Fig3 - Sniper and rough-up of Spotter.

I like that vizor on that fig.  I would love for them to add this type of feature to OTC figs. Daggone one would think we would see some adaptation of this for EU figs at least.
