I might get lucky and have the cap section of the mold turn out to be actually useable.  We'll see.  All else fails, I'll just set up a mold to do just the caps.

Just poured the molding compound on 6 heads, a helmet, and a cap.

Juno Eclipse
Dark Woman
Mara Jade (comic pack)

Old Indy (TotCS, carries RPG)
Ben Kenobi (latest release)
BBI's Snake (Ranger Sniper)

Cmdr Faie helmet
Juno Eclipse Imperial Cap

I doubt the last mold will actually turn out, as it was a "hurry and get a third mold together to use up the left-over molding goo!"  The mold is leaking as I rushed the construction and left a small gap in the taping.  Plus, the helmet didn't get completely covered to start with.  ugh.  The Cmdr Faie helmet and the officer's cap were just the closest things I had on the bench that were small enough to fit inside the tube.  I rushed.  ALWAYS have one more mold ready than what you think you'll need.  ALWAYS.
That's good advice to have an extra ready. I have had to rush that last mold together on more than one occasion.
You and I still need to get a "to mold" list going so we can concentrate on seperate parts.
I have two different Faie helmets, buddy. I was going to do the Needa cap, next time.

Yeah, Brendan pointed out there are two different Faie-type helmets - there's the Cmdr Faie that I'm using and a similar-looking head on the BFII Clone Engineer.  Without looking, he explained the differences to me.  I couldn't quite visualize what he was saying and pulled up a pic.  I'll be durned...the boy was spot on.  ;D

Right now, I'm making heads, as you seem to have helmets pretty well covered.  Then, maybe Imperial Caps, as I have all three, but if you've got Needa's up on the block, run with it.  I just had in mind to put all three in one mold for ease in locating them.  Scenics like boxes and tools are high on my list, too.  Armor *eventually* but you've got almost everything nailed that I could do other than Bultar Swann (Comic Pack) and the Death Star Gunner piece.  Rahm Kota's breastplate should prolly be done with a flexible pour, as it has straps and belts to wrap.

Yeah, I need to make a list of the stuff I have than I plan to cast and the stuff I plan to get in order to cast.

Yep, that's his team.  I provided exactly:
base-coating the Airborne helmet
drilling hole to mount rocket-pack
scout pistol, satchel, and datapad for slicer

Absolutely everything else was done by him.  He's got a neat dio set up of a droid scrap-yard that we plan to photo and show off.  I'm working on the background for it and we need to work out lighting issues.  Then I get to learn how to take decent model shots...  I gotta learn how to dink with the aperature to manage the depth-of-field so that everything is in focus where I want it.

My sniper-team won't be finished in time to submit for the Yakfinities - too much crap this month sapped my creative spark.  This of course means I now have the time to do them RIGHT!!!  It'll take a lot longer, but I think I'll like the figs a LOT BETTER in the end.

Nice team effort there, Doc! Tell Brendan that he just made the front page.
I have missed a deadline on a creative contest before. It was a model car contest and if you seen my unfinished entry, you wouldn't believe it.
Bring on that improved sniper team when you get the chance.

You talk about excited!  I posted the two humans as WIP photos over on Yakface way back and he got a good bit of positive feedback which really pleased him...but having the trio up on ISY's front-page just flat made his day!!

2nd gen customizer?

Rad!

So, is there going to be a station dio?  Is it going to be a representation of your house or what?

I'm pretty interested to see it, really.  Might make a decent dio comic, if nothing else, just to amuse the ISY, :)

Yep - we collaborate regularly.

And I'm figuring on there being dios of the station, for sure.  A dio-comic would be interesting...  I'm still trying to figure out exactly what the station looks like, but it is likely an XQ-series station.  The other idea was a Regula-One type station from Trek...

well, between schematics, models, and simple set pieces, I'm sure you can get the look you are going for in your dio story, :)
