After work Target score and Friday Mail Call!

The "Blue Beetle" Carapax figures were $7.99 each at Target. They will get customized into high end battle droids. Not sure if I am going to do my usual "want 6" or just stick with the 2 I have just yet.

The dinosaurs were a trade package from a friend on Facebook!

Walmart score!

I found this loose "Jurassic World" Irritator (probably something a kid tore out of the package years back and was found when they recently moved the shelves for the 2023 holiday reset) shoved into the tray with the similarly sized semi-articulated vinyl dinosaurs with tape binding its legs and a sticker with the same sku as the vinyl dinos.

When this figure was first released, I passed on it multiple times as I was going through my divorce and not spending money on unnecessary things due to not knowing what my finances would look like in the future (my ex-wife was trying everything up to cartoon supervillainy to try to get alimony and other money out of me 🙄). After everything was settled and she got nothing out of me thanks to my having a great lawyer, this was one of the few items I was not able to acquire afterwards as it had disappeared from retail and was 3-4x retail price on ebay.

Needless to say, I was happy to put out the $10.97 today :)

After work thrift store!

The Schleich Therizinosaurus is a bit scuffed up, but I am going to repaint it anyway so it was worth the $2.99 price tag.

The unknown manufacturer T-Rex was $1.99, this is the 3rd or 4th one of this same figurine that I have grabbed from this thrift store in less than a year.

The Chap Mei jungle temple was $2.99, this is the second one I have grabbed at this shop in the last few months.

The "Ghostbusters" cheap-o kid sized roleplay proton pack was $.99. It will make for a great base for a diorama in the future.

All said and done, with tax, this haul was only $9.44!

Using the proton pack as a diorama base is a great idea! Nice find on the Chap Mei jungle piece, too.

Today's road trip haul!

I hit several out of the way Walmarts and Targets looking for clearance stuff with no luck, but went to the Jersey Gardens Mall (which I haven't been to in 25-30 years) and got a bunch of good stuff!

The "Marvel" and "Star Wars" figures were from the Disney Outlet. The Marvel 2pks $6.98 each (originally something like $24.99) and were bought for the accessories. The Star Wars droid was $12.99 (same price as it would be at the parks).

The "Little Mermaid" Ursula was on clearance for $10 at Marshall's and was bought because I want to use the lower half to make some form of Lovecraftian eldrich being.

The "Apex Legends" figures were from Cohoes (part of the Burlington family) and were $5.99 each. You cannot beat a demonic-looking skeletal robot for that price.

The Halloween masks were from a weird little dollar store and were $1.29 each. I will use them for Castle Grayskull-style facades for dioramas.

I grabbed this cool little Dimetrodon out of the $1.33 dinosaur bin at Walmart.

It appears to be a knock-off of the Schleich one from a few years back. It is smaller than the original, so after a repaint, it can be a juvenile one next to the original.

Tuesday Mail Call!

My Amazon order arrived!

The dragons were $19.99 each (originally $39.99 each) and the "Fortnite" figure, which was bought for the robotic owl, was $15.07 (originally $34.99).

Today's after work Foreman Mills ("Warhammer 40,000") and thrift store (Wonder Woman shield) scores!

The "Warhammer 40,000" Genestealers were $10 each (originally $22.99 each). I had one that I got last year when it was released, but I couldn't pass up 2 more at less than half price! They also had the all grey variant with the Cthulhu head and knife hands, but I already had one and preferred the full color ones' design better so I left it for someone else.

The Wonder Woman shield was $.99 and is about 12" across. I plan on using it as part of a diorama at some point.

After work Family Dollar score!

I couldn't pass up another GITD skull barrel! Also, everything in the package is useful for custom projects. The copper piece is a base for the large spring loaded cannon available in several larger sets so it is odd that it is in this set without a cannon, I will use it for detailing on one of my pirate repulsor ships.

Today's after work thrift store score!

I found an entire tote FULL of "Robotix" parts for only $4.99! There were also several instruction booklets and 4 UNUSED label sheets! There might be more inside of the instruction manuals, but I haven't checked yet.

I also grabbed one of the rarest Lontic/Tedco dinosaurs for $.99 and 2 "How To Train Your Dragon" dragons for $1.99 each.
